  1. Maybe not the greatest show of photographic talent, but the scenery in these is fricken superb imho! Family farm in the EC. Taken by my cousin after the recent snows.
  2. 221km/h according to my Polar! The Eskom transmission lines I rode under might have something to do with that though
  3. Ghey the first time they attempted a retro iteration of Adolf's little "kaefer" and sure **** ghey this time too!
  4. Best site for Friday laughts ever GTR!!! Thank you... the tears are still rolling and I think that p*ssing my pants is a very real possibility!
  5. Just made it 30. Nathrix it looks very much like you took that pic whilst lurking amongst the ladies bibshorts... nice one
  6. Rear shock used to look like a baked bean can with the label removed if I recall. Ugly bastards, but not bad for their time I think.
  7. … if you say gullible really really slowly it sounds like oranges?
  8. Not compatible with XT, but I used them before on older XTR cranks (M970) and they worked a dream. Be sure you get the Slickshit er... shift and Hardcote versions. If they don't say Slickshift then they're a bit sparse with ramps and pins (as in they have none... I think) which makes their shifting horrific. All that said, I reckon the Shimano OEM stuff is just as good nowadays, so cant really vouch for an improvement. Other than the price - if I recall Middleburn were way cheaper.
  9. How about this one?
  10. A little classic sinnymaa for Friday A Few Good Man "You Can't Handle the Truth": A Few Good Men: Lunch With Jessup: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrPxkAF325g&feature=related – quote starting at at 4:04min Pulp Fiction Opening: Ezekiel 25:17 Pulp Fiction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmvnXKRfdb8&feature=related Full Metal Jacket A-well-a everybody's heard about the bird:
  11. Bwahaha nice one Chubba! FFS this slow internet is doing my head in today, can't even get in fast enough to beat someone else to a snappy comeback. If you've ever flown in an Alo, you'll be forgiven for thinking they actually did make them in 1060 with said stone and wood held together with mammoth snot.
  12. Sud Aviation (later Aerospatiale) SE3130 Alouette II First made in 1955 Edit: Fing slow Vodacom 3G connection - stamp, fume!!! Enjoy your ride kosmonooit.... there was only the Robinson 22 answer when I started typing! I wonder if I can claim from Vodacom in this case...hmmmm
  13. I think the term is "dik gebliksem"
  14. No idea, mail I got just said Midrand SAPS, so don't which specific one.
  15. Attached pictures of the 2 muppets that were apprehended by Midrand SAPS (big up guys!). I got these via the Knoppieslaagte community forum people (that's the area north of Summit road). "Two bike jackers have just been caught and are in Police custody after a Alert resident recognized one of the bikes posted and gave chase If any body can identify these men with regarding any crime or robbery Please contact me .. The one has been positively identified as the bike jacker yielding the knife on Trotting and Gallop rd last week The two bikes recovered only one has been identified by its owner who was attacked on Trotting rd the second bike is believed to been hijacked in London rd Mnandi last week. If any body knows the Cyclist bike jacked last week please forward this email on so they could help in Identifying the culprits ."
  16. Just heading into the garage to commence refitting my bike like this... No I'm not being flippant about this whole issue, on the contrary I'm well pissed and suddenly have little compunction to get out and ride, but a little humour always helps....
  17. They bikejacked (Super) Mike Naiker!!? Now it's really getting offsides!!! Just heard his story right now and it seems that the bastatds not only tried to get his bike but then also tried to stab him and if he did not manage to run away they would have been successful. Who the f*** does that FFS!!? Clearly - for me - at least the same guys who bikejacked Troy, given Nathrix's story of the guy trying to stab him too Fackin' swine!! (an insult to pigs I know, but words fail me!)
  18. People actually live in the North West Province!? ... just kidding. +1 on the "No" suggestion - might make for a scary statistic once the numbers start rolling in!
  19. All this lunar eclipse stuff reminded me of these clowns: NASA's "Polar Operational Environmental Satellites" Project.... only the Yanks would come up with an acronym like this!! http://goespoes.gsfc.nasa.gov/****/index.html I especially like the tab next to the "Contact Us" one. Not sure if it's a command like you'd give to your dog, .e.g. "Spot...home", or a broken link to a porn site
  20. Never been a mainstream guy when it comes to bikes - and Niner is becomming pretty mainstream imho - but those frames are pretty damn flash! And I don't plastic bikes either, so double hit! Very nice!
  21. Now owned by On-One/Planet X in the UK. Most certainly still exist and were bought out in full by the aforementioned in Nov/Dec last year. Website indicates owned by On-One. Seemingly intend to retain and grow the brand not dilute it into some Hyperama rubbish... Your warranty - if you still had one - is out the window obviously, but they will do some pretty special pricing on stuff that would previously have been covered under warranty, so if that's the reason for your post, then get hold of them via the website.
  22. Mojo it is simply wrong to title a thread "squirt squirter" on a cycling forum! Maybe on one of those forums/sites that your work firewalls block so effectively, but not on a cycling forum boet! ...or is it perhaps just my mind that has a hard time climbing out of the gutter (smutter?), even briefly!
  23. +1 I had not received my Mucky Nutz yet when I posted on that thread - just thought it was very cool. Have had one on now for about a month and not had 1 little iota of gunk flung off my front wheel into my mouth or eyes. Really worthwhile piece of kit.
  24. Got to agree with you Iron. That Tread issue has not been out for that long and gave the Segma a pretty decent review - no scoring vs the others though, but that's just my pet hate - so HTF(!) can they now decide not to "bring anymore in". I realise that they're made overseas, but Silverback is an SA brand so what the hell does it mean when the brand says they're not bringing in one of their own models? It's not like they're the importer and can decide stop bringing in a cerain model, it's their own bike FFS! I could maybe understand "we will not bringing anymore Smegmas, er..Segmas in, as we've changed the name to something that sounds less like some type of yeast infection and it's now even blingy-er than the Segma, so just wait a couple of weeks and you can get the new 'Jittler' 29er" Silly Silverback, silly - you've built nice brand loyalty, don't go stuff it up now!!
  25. Eating less pie
