  1. Spiffy skoens, the Giro shoes are also comfortable slippers!
  2. Shoes and pedals are a personal thing, especially shoes. Sidi are super comfy and well made though, also try the offerings from Giro. I've got a pair of the Giro shoes and I'm loving them. If you're on a budget, Serfas, Olympic and the new Probike shoes are damn good value for money. As far as pedals go, Shimano SPDs, tough as nails, reliable and inexpensive!
  3. thieving swine! Shared the link on Bicycle Saftety, Crime LIne, ShoutSA and Tread Magazine Facebook pages.
  4. www.galloimages.co.za is another. Otherwise check on the organiser's website, they often have links to photo gallerys.
  5. Reckon oil see you bunch if ingrates tomorrow. Alternating Wed rides between PCRS and DHtS now
  6. Tis purdy... Nay, tres uber purdy! Nuff said!
  7. Some oke called Ned Overend didn't do too badly in X- Terra events either, he had also "retired" from being a pro XCO racer by his 40s. Specialized sure seem to find them.
  8. Cree LEDs?
  9. Give that man a Chivas!
  10. Tyres- would have to be new or a good picture to sort of asses the condition. Bib shorts and socks- unless they're new and in packaging nawt a chance charna! Helmet- tricky, would want to look at the physical item first. Shoes- A good pic should do, like with tyres. Shirt/Jersey- Same as above. Agree with Caerus, after a good wash or two shoes/helmet/gloves would be fine. The only reason for buying/selling these second hand, they should be in really good condition. Squeamish factor doesn't really bother me, especially after having to sit on a blood stained car seat for three hours once.
  11. Lezyne, never had an issue with them and they comfortably hold any bottle. Don't look too shabby either.
  12. Bats aside, reckon I should be there... still weighing up with the PCRS ride. What time again? 17h00? Be warned folk, saw a certain two members of "DHtS" on covert ops yesterday evening. Something about "geo caching" but methinks it was laying bike traps! How else does one slow down the group and accumulate spares
  13. Those darn rugby players too, and soccer, cricket, tennis, golf ...etc etc Burn them, burn them all. Come on man, your topic reads more like a chip on the shoulder.
  14. I failed too, misspelt "ecstatic" ... but I did edit
  15. I'm sure he'll be ecstatic for you, shall pass the message on. Just for you boytjie
  16. Cheers man, was just a case of the taxi driver edging to close to the kerb because he wanted to take a filter lane further up. We had a good few words but both of us calmed down a bit. To be fair, more often than not it's Taxis that give me the most consideration I've found. Fortunately I pretty much work for myself, so work hours aren't exactly standard.
  17. Another lesson of commuting. Having a relationship with a good LBS nearby! Yesterday morning I had a 'contact' with one of our taxi brethren, after launching counter measures I took evasive action and mounted the kerb. Unfortunately I cased the back wheel on one of the sidewalk stones and picked up a metal spike. Fortunately though the tyre (kinda) held enough for me to get to the office, albeit needing to stop four times to pump the tyre. Popped round to Mikes Bikes after, and they worked the rim so that it was rideable at least, tis toast though
  18. Like a "Wolf Pack"
  19. Very cool ride folk, thanks for the Pizza and for the lift. Weirdest thing was the bat that flew into me...
  20. So I saw 4 huge trucks this morning, Alf's Tippers. Thing is though, this was in Parkhurst Joburg, got all excited I thought PoS had sent them for a huge project on the Spruit! I even waved seriously
  21. Pleasure. Anatomic is also good, I've just found the Panda stuff lasts a bit longer is more hard wearing, just my personal experience. Now go forth and procreate, jerseys.
  22. Akin to this? ....
  23. Question ... a unicycle should qualify as well no? They are after all, geared with a single speed.
  24. B b b but he might be talking about 'beer training'
