Mandela Bridge, the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty etc or a private property have give permission by way of a location release for commercial usage. Which personality or 'celeb' promotes a product in a natural appearance as you put it? She never deemed her natural appearance to be sub standard, you came up with that all on your own.

Partially correct, any use or depication of a person in a photo or graphic without expressly written consent/model release, for commercial use, is illegal. Be it on the internet, print, tv or any visual form of advertising.

You may or not be overspending on your bike stuff, but Daft Vader's break down pretty much sums it up in line with what you've had done. As long you feel you're getting out what you're putting in, would also reccomend the fork workshop.

Have to give the guy props for posting on here. As tongue in cheek as the article is, I don't think it carries it across though. Seth or an Andy Ellis standard of writer could do a far better job I reckon, that's just the way I see it though. Some of the responses are pretty stupid though, the levels of aggro are mindblowing. People being irritated from roadworks is f all excuse to knocking people over or using the roads like irresponsible tossers. We complain about potholes, then bitch like spoilt kids when there are roadworks reapiring and upgrading.... go figure. A lot of the problem extends to the way we behave on the road.

It's pure greed from FIFA and service providers...... Ironically the "Official Technology Partner" isn't providing the broadcast equipment. The list of restrictions from FIFA is crazy, yes by all mean protect your brand from hijacking, but the list crosses a definate line. The media accreditation process has also been pushed through in a fairly heavy handed manner. The SWC should be a positive thing overall, but some of the ethics leave food for thought.

Actually both, Action Photo and My Picture have been in the game a while. After merging they have the best of both worlds now with systems and staff. They match and outdo just about any overseas outfit. Many events they have staff sorting and uploading on the day already. Photo wise it's a compromise of sorts as you have to 95% guarantee each person a shot as much as possible, which leaves little leeway for getting 'creative'

How about talking to Shan Hannie from Sign Up? I reckon if the two initiaves combine on some level, we'd see some beneficial results for sure! To start of with, the poles the sign boards are mounted on could have a think bike sticker attached. Thus improving visibility and branding.... EWEP, saw you on Sat morning directing traffis!!
