  1. There’s was a switching of backend systems, so not everything switched over. But you can contact SAIDS and they’ll provide feedback as well as updating the website.
  2. Often in life it’s the most simple and obvious answer that is just as probable. There’s an appeal against the hearing decision, in which case the sanction shouldn’t have been published in the first place.
  3. Definitely getting much much better, camera work/production need a bit more polishing. But overall a well produced package including the social feeds. A highlight for me is the live u23 on YouTube and then catching the elites on Statlive. R100 sub per month is nothing
  4. Mail them, maybe they’ll do it.
  5. Yes and no, SS keep getting hammered but the truth is that in SA we've been spoilt by the airtime allocated to cycling by SuperSport buying rights. Most territories around the world don't enjoy anywhere near the access. For a long time, we had the most enviable access with both SuperSport and RBTV. The problem comes in with how the UCI awards it's broadcast rights.
  6. Some sanity prevails…. https://www.treadmtb.co.za/uci-mtb-world-cup-live-coverage-for-south-africa-confirmed/?fbclid=IwAR0NNd9g2Lh-4GucNVBwAl4l-TnFWpg6rhQgXOnHV14oQ-yT4lJmRU3ug_4_aem_AbTUykgIxI6rFCvaCZshuqacW-myKlHBxnAmo772TpzKXLcZPxu1K_1B6F7LS5QRxp0
  7. Rate him accordingly on the site. Call the shop and ask to speak to him, if that fails, go directly to the shop with the item and engage.
  8. Off market is not entirely correct, it’s found within a number of prescribed medications. The actual hearing doc can be found here, unfortunately doubt most will bother to read it; https://drugfreesport.org.za/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Award-SAIDS-v-Amy-Wakefield_.pdf
  9. 😅 … spent a good 20/30 minutes just chatting about the hammer! Switched on guy, was a pleasure to deal with!
  10. What a race, well deserved!
  11. I think you are literally making up your own conclusions.
  12. Tyres were changed depending on the stages, as well as regular sealant top-ups. During a bike check in Wellington his bike had fresh tyres on. The tech guys were pretty switched on and helpful, even used one of their Abbey Tools titanium hammers as a bike stand .... 😶
  13. To quote Dr Jarrad van Zuydam "valve caps are a scam" Yes, big air just want our money!
  14. He did have some time on a demo/pre prod proto afaik, had a discussion at one of the launches and one of the S staffers mentioned it. Apparently, his testing feedback was that the new model is like a better more polished version of the previous Epic Evo. Would speculate that should also be taken in the context of a competitive race bike. Reckon Matt's pro moto background makes his feedback especially invaluable. Several brands launch their new models around this time, for eg; Liv, Cannondale, Bulls, Titan. Especially with Olympics around the corner. IMHO this makes for good timing alongside Cape Epic and a smart brand can use this to their advantage.
  15. And a stupidly ridiculous amount of ice cream parlours!.... Heaven!
  16. Must say I was pleasantly surprised with Tulbagh/Saronsburg. Some absolute quality riding and outdoors exploring around there, plus housing seems pretty cheap. Swellendam gets another vote, apparently the fastest economic growth. Also apparently, the region between these up to Wellington is fast becoming a thriving outdoors/adventure sports scene. Depends on what your work entails and what kind of town/suburban balance you're looking for.
  17. That's so mooi its mooist. Congrats!
  18. Please PM me, I know of a few guys who may be able to assist.
  19. Would be quite cool to see if SRAM/RockShox do some kind of a Lefty collab with Flight Attendant.
  20. Jasper is an absolute mullet and legend, class human.
  21. Imho there’s a fair amount of amateur coverage amongst the highlights packages etc. Arguably there could be more depth, at the same time who pays for this? Using the heli as am example, flying hours are already at their limit, including the pilot, camera operator, editing and producers. So to extend that means an extra crew on a heli, pilot, cameraman and producer hours for editing, or draw down hours on capturing elites. As it is, the eyeballs are drawn by what happens in the elite race, this is a fact. It is the driving impetus behind coverage.
  22. Ya, like the vids but it's a very different consumption, plenty demand for copy/photos though. Still correlating a lot of stuff among other work, but here's Impey's bike. Nothing spectacular customisation wise, but I quite like it for the fact that it's essentially stock off the floor and good enough for a WT pro. Theres a bunch of stuff from last year as well. https://off.road.cc/content/feature/bike-check-daryl-impeys-scott-spark-rc-900-world-cup-edition-14595
  23. 38t for Grotts while Matt seems to alternate sizes. According to some of the team staff, did some bike checks yesterday.
  24. Saw that, not sure if it may be down to illness or not. Towards the end his partner Nortje wasn't too far off from the Specialized and Scott/Ridley breakaway, flying through the singletrack.
  25. Wild bru, wild!
