Fair post, and the oped/letter did make some good points. Although for me personally, the overall attitude came over as projecting a bit. That's me though, I can appreciate how it might resonate more with others. In general though there's an irony in how people seem to read for reaction rather than comprehension.

Horrible thing to happen for the kids and associated friends/family circle, some years back a friend went through a similar thing in his circle. The fallout is real and causes so much long-term damage, especially for the children.

Didn’t really see much of that, think a lot of it is also down to people’s own interpretation of what is breaking news of a tragic incident involving two relatively high profile people. Regardless, the net effect is heartbreaking.
