  1. Never had any hassles with mine. Have you made sure that the small black rotating cut off valve on the bite valve is not partially closed by any chance? It's not nearly as obvious as the CB cut off valve and it caught me out once in the beginning...
  2. Our daughter used to cycle to school in Randburg every so often. This was after I worked out a route where she could ride pavements on busy roads and rode with her a number of times. She could also hop up most pavements. More often we would drop her and bike at school and she would ride home. Obviously texting when she left and live tracking on Endomondo.

    Advice

I would upload photos and short vids to Instagram. The beauty is that through the use of many #hashtags in Instagram you can get many followers - local and overseas. This is obviously easiest if you have a good camera on your smart phone. You have Strava... You can link it to Instagram. I think you have to upload within 30 minutes of stopping Strava for a particular pic to be linked with a particular ride. Don't know if that's an issue?
  4. 6'1" + 95 + 43 = 140mm (minimum)
  5. I only have a Jhb contact: http://www.astroholdings.co.za/
  6. Don't worry, mine is not far behind. She loved it on Sunday's ride. http://photos-a.ak.instagram.com/hphotos-ak-xpa1/10326574_783240421696352_376179997_n.jpg

  8. So when you buy a car do you go for Toyota or VW because of parts availability or the best car for your money? And which parts exactly? Pivots? Hanger? Pyga is a local brand and easily ships around the country. http://www.pygaindustries.com/dealers.html My wife's Pascoe frame has arrived in Jhb. Probably be built by the weekend.
  9. I Dunno. If I attend a free bike maintenance workshop being hosted by the guys at Parktool or Birzman, then I understand I'm going to get a sales pitch. I would be angry if I paid though.
  10. Yeah, the old lady at Emmerentia who got her garden executive to remove a small kicker on the dam wall due to "damaging the wall's intergrity". And then she removed that natural grass covered bump between the trees.
  11. I have fixed a 15mm sidewall cut with one of those which lasted the life of the tyre. The only issue is finding the things. Next time I find them I'm buying 10. They usually cost around R50 but well worth it especially if you cut a brand new tyre like I did.
  12. Actually when racing down mountains is where I usually sprint most often.
  13. Saddlebags are just not #Enduro. They generally don't work if you have a dropper post. You often need more than one can carry. Makes your bike handle like ship. Usually noisy. You can loose tools. Looks noobish. Even when I started racing twenty something years ago they were laughed at. Extra mass under the saddle doesn't help if you're a sprinter either.
  14. Geez. Now you introduced maths.... On a FRIDAY???
  15. It is more comfortable to run it flaccid.
  16. I was about to say. Can't belief Uni almost got away with that.
  17. There is less than 1mm between the HD and the Bronson.
  18. Completely agree
  19. Apparently the Beeline is brilliant until you introduce mud.
  20. Haha. Ja, it's getting there. Are you implying that your head isn't functioning properly?
  21. Yeah, I range between 85 and 95kgs. FTR, I also run a Spank Subrosa bar at 757mm with 40mm Spank Spoon stem.
  22. Ok cool. I've only seen it in 29er guise and it didn't look much different in comparison.
  23. Check with Int Trade what they have in stock for 650B front. Vigilante is a nice heavy duty AM tyre. Trailboss on its way here. Weirwolf maybe. It similar to Wolverine though.
  24. But the 3 Bell Supers aren't the only lids you've had to replace in the short time I've known you...
  25. Nige. Go shove 30 or 40kg in your pack and take a full bore fast run down something steep and then try your brakes. You wont believe the extra braking energy us larger boned folk need.
