  1. RDR2 is definitely one of the best games I've ever played. Most immersive storyline I've ever seen. Just wow! Never got emotional because of a game before. Just damn! Currently alternating between Doom Eternal and Snowrunner. Polar opposites but Snowrunner is without a doubt the most boring game I just can't stop playing. I also spent some time of Farm Simulator. Quite fun if you are into driving tractors and plowing fields.
  2. Settled on Zwift in the end. While it is a little gamey for my liking it does offer good entertainment while you sit it out. So far my fat ass is up to 22km / 200m climbing rides completing it in 1:06 +- and I'm enjoying it a lot! This from 5km on my first ride about a week ago. Here is to losing 25kg over the next few months.
  3. That is me indeed. Took a leave of absence from the forum The hobby part is very real. I turned that hobby into a full blown vape shop. Sold my shop in 2018 though.
  4. No go. Thanks though. Going to hit the 14 day trial and see. Not expensive at all.
  5. My overall health improved so much with vaping. I believe it saved me from early heart problems or worse. You do have a point there. It kinda feels more difficult. It definitely isn't from a physical point of view since nicotine itself isn't the most addictive substance on it's own. Cigarette companies add additional chemicals to enhance the effectiveness of nicotine which makes it more addictive. Vaping doesnt have that. Maybe it is just a harder psychological barrier to break.
  6. Tells me it's an invalid coupon code. Tried for both the family plan and individual plans.
  7. Will be giving it a bash later today to see how it compares with Zwift. Using BlueHeart to bridge the Apple Watch HRM to the app on my Macbook. Should be interesting. Zwift is great but feels a little bit too "gamey" to me.
  8. 5 years +- since I lit a cigarette. I used the ecigs to quit and that will be the next thing to go. Even if it is the better option it still puts nicotine into my system that ramps up my heart rate too much. I'm very sensitive to nic. That is the next challenge over the next few weeks.
  9. Currently have it connected to Strava and i'll have a look at intervals.icu quick. As soon as I "loosen up the legs" some more ill do an FTP test and then sign up for a training plan. A big part of what I'm doing now is conditioning on the bike. Get those sitting bones and feet used to being on a saddle and in cycling shoes again (MTB runs flats and 5Tens) Thanks for the feedback and advice. Appreciate it.
  10. This Kickr Core is definitely one of the best investments I could have made for cycling. It took a lot of convincing myself to get the setup done with a new entry level road bike. But... it works and it works well. I set the bike up in my study where I have a 40" TV on the wall and I'm using Zwift (Testing Rouvy tonight) to create a really immersive experience. 5 days ago I started with a 5km ride and it wasn't easy (yes, that is how unfit I am) and started making small progress. Last night I did a 15km with 245m of climbing. This is a big improvement for me and I can see this method of training sticking. I used the normal trainers before and it got boring really fast. With my fitness level being the lowest in years and by waist line being the biggest in years I had to do something urgent and this is definitely the right way to do it.
  11. Final update. Ended up paying for the Zwift sub. It offers everything I want and works incredibly well with the Kickr. I just use my phone with a bike mount and mirror to a TV if needed. Thanks again for all the input.
  12. Thanks for all the feedback. Used Zwift for two short sessions (all I can really do right now) and i'm happy. Using it on my phone for now so I can use my Apple watch for HR.
  13. Could just be my Mid 2012 Pro. I'll try with the 2017 as well as my 2018 and see.
  14. Rouvy has issues with my old Macbook. The connection with the trainer keeps dropping. Will test with the newer Macbook and compare. Also no Apple watch support for HR so I might be restricted to using the app on my phone.
  15. Thanks so much for the comprehensive feedback. I really appreciate it.
  16. Long time my friend. Back op in 2013/4 was a great success but being unfit and overweight at the moment isn't helping so I am struggling with it a bit. My spine is a big issue at the moment with chronic inflammation issues throughout my spine and hips. Working on it. Diet and new training should help a lot. I will definitely check out Rouvy. Thanks for all the other other members contributing.
  17. Hi all To help get myself back into riding after a stupid long absence I picked up a road bike and Kickr Core. Setup is complete and I guess I need to sign up to some sort of guided app. I've identified the three options above but I can't really see which would benefit an unfit riding most. What i've found so far is that the gamification of Zwift is pretty cool but the app is still serious. All my sensor and Apple watch connects seamlessly. Sufferfest seems more like a pro solution. Bit of a learning curve with the interface. Fulgaz seems straight forward. I'm leaning towards Zwift for its simple and fun approach.. Any feedback from the more experienced indoor riders?
  18. We are all human. End of story.

    Tattoos

Not sure if I posted here before. Some really awesome work you all have. My latest addition. Photo was taken on the day so my paw is seriously swollen. Healed perfectly in a week with no scabbing or issues. I only use Flash Heal for aftercare on all my work.

  21. As much as I’d like to help out I’d rather not split it up for now. Will keep you updated.
  22. For interest sake and fear of the post getting lost in the classifieds. I’d like to see if anyone would be interested in a Rancillio Silva Rancillio Rocky Doser grinder Rancillio Wood & Stainless tamper Rancillio stand / drawer system Tamping Mat and box Paid R19k for the combo. Looking for R10k Everything in excellent condition.
  23. Thank you. The old saying is “there is no money in the cure, only the treatment”. This is why I hate the world and what it’s become. Greed. Her cancer starts around the femur and is up to the middle of the spine from what the MRI shows. More test are needed to see if it’s into the lungs. Part saving grace is that she stopped smoking a month ago and uses the CBD and THC combo for pain management to sleep. She starts radiation soon to see what they can do in terms of managing it. She was basically told they can’t cure or operate due to the extent of the spread.
  24. Followed this from the first post. I’m sorry my friend but your positivity is a true inspiration. My mom was recently diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer at age 69. I feel for you. Keep up the fight.
  25. Good choice. Mazda and Honda are both very good options. Toyota.... they lost their touch after the RSI and RXi models
