  1. That's more than I am doing for joBerg2C and more than I have done for any of my 5 sani's and 1 non stop sani. Relax, your training is great, provided you are averaging more than 10k/hr off and 20 on road
  2. Hate to say this, but they are getting uglier
  3. My day was almost as much fun: 1 moved furniture 2 Bought blinds and curtain rails 3 installed blinds, curtain rails and bathroom fittings. My day rocked so much I can barely walk today my back is so buggered
  4. Technically, when you approach the till with a product, you are offering to buy the product at the price marked on the product/shelf. the shop may then accept or decline your offer. I know it sounds the wrong way arround, but thats how it was taught to me in com law.
  5. Black socks = Lance is my Hero, I want Lance as my lover
  6. If there is I don't know it. Just lots of sweat and usually a few curses.
  7. Streeeeeaaaaccch them
  8. Soming I found by chance at non stop sani. Wear a pair of nylon gym shorts or similar shorts over your cycleing shorts. I think what happens is that your cycling shorts stick to and move with your arse, and the outer sticks to your saddle, so any movement takes place between thetwo pairs of shorts. Afterall, it is the movement against your skin that causes chaife. Use, don't use?

    Chain suck

Or use a little less lube/wipe more lube off before riding Is it only when changing chainrings, or does it happen "randomly" during a ride chech middle chainring for any irregularity that might "hook" the chain
  10. Zaskar Try running them the otherway arround. I've been running a killerbee 2.4 front and a Geax mezcal 2.2 back, so much of speed. I'v been runnig a bigger tyre on the front for a while now and am convinced its the way.Giant2010-01-21 06:06:03
  11. Saw a quote from a pro a while ago. "There is no such thing as over training, only under nourishment and under recovery" A lot of truth in that
  12. As a novice, 1 might assume all you want is a reasonable all round tyre that will give you no hassles. Something like a maxis crossmark, kenda nevegal or the likes. Or if you wanna race: Watch the long range forecast a couple of days before. If no/not much rain is forecast, go for a large volume, semi slick tire and run at reasonably low preasure, go fast when its good (90%) and a little slower in the technical stuff. if its going to rain lots, change your shoes, and dont worry about tyres.
  13. pure bike porn sexy as anything I've seen
  14. Shorty, If you don't come right with a warenty, contact Brendan at Maxpaddle. He primarily builds and repairs canoing paddles, but I belive hes has done some work on a couple of bikes recently. Don't have his number on hand, but should not be to hard to find. He's at Kingfisher canoe club most Thursday evenings
  15. Thanks Joobs, Glad you goty away so lightly. This annoys me no end, I've had three attempted muggings, only one on my bike, and it was during a race. kept all my posetions, but did require a couple of stiches from a stab wound in my tricep. (That one was walking from Rugby to Billys) I'm becoming paranoid, and am never totaly relaxed when on our roads
  16. Go with your heart, The way things are going now, these are not even two much for a golf course Provided you can ride a sub 3hr15 hundred, or you gonna look "all the gear no Idea"
  17. Considdering that "its not about the bike" this seems a hell of a waste
  18. I bought one a couple of years bak. I think it is a good progam and worth the $100 odd. But like most things you will only get the best out of it if you use it, often. Nutritional CD worth listening to 1 a year. Streaching progam after every rid if you can manage the 12 odd minutes, and then there are other core and spinning routines. So you will need a yoga mat and an in door trainer to get anything out of the program.
  19. Dingdong your surename Openheimer by any chance? Beautiful bikes what size are you riding, at 5'4" I inclined to believe that 29er might not be for me.
  20. Depends on the race, But the question you need to find an answer for is how long do you take to fully recover from a training session. Hardest hill session will probably take you four days to recover, so don't do one within 5 days. Easy spinn only takes a day to recover from so have one the day before. All you want, is to not arrive at the line feeling tired. Any more than that, and you are wasting valuable training time.
  21. I've done a couple of Imana Wild rides, and have seen some interesting stuff. Seen a guy loose crank bolts on the non drive side. The repair wss to use the bolt and plate that hold your seat onto the seatpost to hold the crank on. Then the guys took turns one riding standing the other seated and swapped evry 5 minutes. Seen a couple of seat bolts sheer. one guy found a fiberglass electricty box and robbed a bolt from that to replace. had two partners break hangers on stage races. I'm to light to break anything. (touch wood)
  22. LA has his tubbies stored for several years in some old geasers cellar in france to let them mature (soften) als most pro's use cotton casing tubbies for their pliability. side wall pliability does affect rolling resisatance, even in high pressure tubbies. (apparently, can't say that I've felt the difference on tar on mtb tyres at 1.8 bar i believe)
  23. The other spanner to thow into the works is that more pliable tyres have a lower rolling resistance, so when is the point reached that the increased risk of punturing outweighs the lower rolling resistance
  24. It is an overpriced brand, that uses some of the super profis to buy great athleates, does not make it the best brand.
  25. I havn't seen it since about then. Try the cytomax recovery product I know LA used cytomax in later years
