I'm looking for info about the course, mostly for tyre choice
last time I got sick and was basically pushed home for the last 20km.
Here is the GPX file from last year, there is quite a bit of corrugation and loose sand.
https://www.gpm-sports.co.za/ These guys also come highly rated.
Ther is Re-tule fitment from Specialized/Complete cyclist.
What about making some rice-cakes, recently watched some nice youtube clips on it.

I am hell bent on day time running lights and lights on bicycles in general. So much so that if by some way my light is not charged I will not leave the house.. routine and habit is key to making sure all devices are charged and ready to go.
Seeing the amount SOME people spend on their bikes but then think the coast of a Garmin Varia is far to high truely amazes me. 5K gets you a top end front and rear light that will last you years and make you safer. 5K could be the difference between getting home or not... thats my view at least.
I feel the same, just the other morning, I taped an external battery pack to my bike to power my uncharged Ryder light.
I think something like a Varia will be my next cycling related purchase or some derivative.
Garmin's latest Varia also records video.
Yip, Too long, Google Park tool's Video on how to size a chain.

2km Warm up.
5km TT
2km Cool down.
Logged the 5km as a separate exercise because I needed accurate power.
Zero points
Go to fitfiletools and "stich" the files together and upload to Garmin again then you will get the point.
Open an account with thecourierguy and get them to collect, it will be much cheaper.

There are some nice clips on wahoo systm. that I enjoyed.

I could not agree more but there is value in these sessions, can't see how people can do 100km on a zwift ride.
I also bought some stuff from them, spoke tension meter and some cheap lights, arrived via courier as promised, spoke tension meter seems to be good quality, I will be testing the light very soon.
I bought, small pliers to do and undo the quick link for R18, seems like a bargain, will keep it in my spares bag.
VAT was payable via a link they have sent; all went quite smooth.

nothing comes close at this price
This might be my next light, I have a Bontrager light (expensive but quality) and a Ryder 900 Lumen light (getting a bit old now, my handlebar mounting broke)
Personally, I would look at second hand ask advice here, post some links and the experts will comment but it is nice to pull in that NICE new steed - Enjoy your journey.
The travel/car hire is a fair benefit but also not that great, we recently booked flights for two to cape town from JHB and 7 days car hire for R6420, I think that was good, but the flights alone wasn't that great.
I got more benefit from Multiply with their online shop.
I will have the short of a few years ago, let me check: Sorry I only have one of 2013, I am sure it changed since then. found the 2022 route

Good Question, my wife has a Previous gen Small 27.5 version and it is heavy.
I am very tempted, is there a Carbon option?
Here is what I did to fix my Garmin "soft" strap after it was giving erratic readings, I let it soak in boiling water for roughly 20minutes and repeated then rinsed in cold soapy water, Still going strong.

There are lots of short sections parts with corrugation.
