I suppose it's called economics, but I cant help feeling like the frog in the pot of water....

People need to stop blindly following the marketing departments of manufacturers. There really (according to my opinion, which is formed firstly by my buying power, and secondly my needs) is no reason to spend RRRidiculous amounts of money on top of the range bicycles. To me, there is also no point in complaining about it on the hub.

I read in the gazette that the word "bakkie" has become offensive there is a motion to criminalise anyone who uses such a derogatory term. Unless you are referring to something you serve food in. The correct term when referring to these people is "Ranger" or "Hilux" if you are uncertain, it's best to ask as not to offend. There are some non-binary terms as well, like Isuzu and Fullback. The americans are very forward thinking in this regard, and have coined the non-discriminatory word "pickup" (which is weird, because very few people actually use these vehicles to pick anything up other than a six pack of castle lite when they shop for bread and milk.)

Google yourself, and have a looksee what Information is readily available on the internet. If you ride habitually ( same time/date/ route) this makes it even easier to target. Luckily, we have someone at home 90% of the time, also in a security complex with guards. ( not that this does not mean I cant be a victim of crime)

My Bike took me back home. There are cold beers at home ( not sure why I left then) The “ taste of the cradle” as I call it loop. Ride from home, do the fun singletrack section from where you turn left into the cradle proper from Beyers Naude. Then left at Kloofzicht cirle to meander back home.

Sometimes, being off the bike makes one more appreciative of what we take for granted. I also missed Oom ben’s fall and hectic wound. Do It properly why don’t you. Good to see Fanie back on the bike too. Had a fairly intense week of work, and taking care of sick children. I did try and make time for cycling again, as I am over my medical issue. zwift has been great, and a sneaky Tuesday ride was great. Today, managed to get my work all sorted, which meant an early Friday, and what better way to celebrate than going to the pub riding your bicycle. What a stellar afternoon in the cradle.

Just as I thought I'm on top of my route badges.... This satisfies the procrastinator in me, I have all the big route badges left over. Which I'm not super keen on.

Decided on a sneaky lunch ride on Tuesday. Fielded some calls and sent some messages on the ride. But it certailnly helped.
