  1. It's when you post something on youtwitface, some-one gets offended and they find out where you live, where you work, and go after your family, in some cases people have been fired, addresses posted in public which could lead to death threats etc... Kinda like the hub sleuths of old, but a lot more angry mob-pitchforky...
  2. Nothing better than having someone shout in your ear about imminent danger.... Like your missus in the passenger seat shouting "look out!!!!" while driving...it normally scares me a lot more than whatever the idjit in traffic is supposedly getting up to. Warning - NCR Current affairs comment below: ...and 5G in africa working well...LOL
  3. I cant help but visualise the bottle being open and spewing little bits of brown water (coke-mix) out the rear.....
  4. I like to talk nonsense, and bring a bit of humor wherever I can, a lot easier on NCR topics. (Humor to me, not really other people necessarily) Never a big participant in politics, religion etc. I do like the music thread, the awesome thread and motorcycling. Will I go to another forum for this? no. I have been a longstanding member of the adventure motorcyling forum, and basically "left" there to focus on the cycling side of things. The Religion & Politics there is far worse than here, and some real toxic stuff that comes to the fore there (in days gone by, I'm not sure how it is at the moment as I don't log on to see what's what.) No skin off my back.
  5. Missus wanted Garmin. We have a tickr that gets used for HRV in the mornings and indoor (ios) training. Been great. Replaced the battery last week after a couple of years of service. I’m really impressed with the unit.
  6. I did some research, and the site is owned locally. But I was very weary. The price however is what made the decision for me.
  7. Bought this for the missus. Best price I could find online, and it's BT and ant+ https://brandhubb.com/garmin-hrm-dual-heart-rate-monitor-010-12883-00-6519 ( initially thought it was a scam website, but item was delivered yesterday)
  8. Same as Fanie, managed to get some XS sizes for MTB's and she rips on the 27.5 wheels...
  9. But we all know it was the glitter plumb purple that had you at first sight....
  10. That's like asking the illuminati to admit to being in charge of world governements... See what happened to CWC when they challenged the status quo. Same happened in other markets and now it's all geo-locked. I for one, will not subscribe to this "research and development" super-duper-carbon magic-dust woven with the hairs from a unicorns tail, to justify prices being charged for bicycles. At this stage, what you are paying for is huge marketing budgets, free bikes for elite riders (enter the Formula 1 technology filters down argument) and distribution agents and importers and every-one else's finger in the pie. I suppose it's called economics, but I cant help feeling like the frog in the pot of water....
  11. Italics is the new comic sans...(It used to be Sarcasm font, but they share a common interest....)
  12. August may give me time to train for this....
  13. Just get back at them by dropping them on the climbs and the descents.
  14. People need to stop blindly following the marketing departments of manufacturers. There really (according to my opinion, which is formed firstly by my buying power, and secondly my needs) is no reason to spend RRRidiculous amounts of money on top of the range bicycles. To me, there is also no point in complaining about it on the hub.
  15. +1 for the Bontrager Flare.
  16. I read in the gazette that the word "bakkie" has become offensive there is a motion to criminalise anyone who uses such a derogatory term. Unless you are referring to something you serve food in. The correct term when referring to these people is "Ranger" or "Hilux" if you are uncertain, it's best to ask as not to offend. There are some non-binary terms as well, like Isuzu and Fullback. The americans are very forward thinking in this regard, and have coined the non-discriminatory word "pickup" (which is weird, because very few people actually use these vehicles to pick anything up other than a six pack of castle lite when they shop for bread and milk.)
  17. Ford vs Toyota Sock Length ( I suppose this is still cycling related)
  18. Enjoy her Hairy!!
  19. So Hairy.....
  20. So Thandie, what other little breadcrumbs will you leave for us?
  21. Google yourself, and have a looksee what Information is readily available on the internet. If you ride habitually ( same time/date/ route) this makes it even easier to target. Luckily, we have someone at home 90% of the time, also in a security complex with guards. ( not that this does not mean I cant be a victim of crime)
  22. Copperheads coffee ride is my ride with a week of recovery required afterwards
  23. Glad my fingernails are trimmed ….
