    Thanks. The more I read up on it the more depressed I get. Washing the car is a huge effort at the moment. Hopefully i will feel good enough to get in an easy ride sometime soon.

    I've been off the bike since the end of April. I was fighting flu like symptoms since the beginning of April and had to pull out of Joberg2C halfway through day 7. My blood results show that I have glandular fever. Not sure how long it's going to take to recover which really sucks because I was the fittest that I have ever been.

    Some were tested like crazy and then took to social media complaining that they were basically being victimised by SAIDS. Then they got caught..... Would you sponsor a convicted doper? I certainly wouldn't.

    The Stage is an absolutely awesome bike. I have owned a Scott 900RC Spark and an Spez Epic and much prefer my Stage. It also looks very sexy . It climbs like a mountain goat and is so comfortable and quick on the descents that it is actually scary. The frame is super stiff which make handling an absolute dream. I cannot wait to tackle 9 days of Joberg2C on my baby.

    Yip that's the bugger of a stent that I had inside of me. Not nice at all. Apparently after I came around from surgery I looked at my thing and shouted that I have a new fishing rod as the line to remove my stent was hanging down out the end of my penis. I proceeded to flash my mother in law, showing the world my new rod... very embarrassing!

    I had the same experience. Unfortunately nothing you can do. I started a thread about the my bad experience but at the end of the day look at it as paying school fees. Would cost too much in lawyers fees to get my money back for the cracked carbon wheels I purchased. I have bought and sold many items on the Hub and that was my first bad experience. It evens itself out in the long run

    Great initiative from the sponsors and organisers of the event to host the compitition. Looking forward to completing it soon with only 2 badges to go.

    You clearly also don't know all the facts. You say, "1 or 2 of them were struck." Maybe it missed everyone. I was hit with a flying snot ball the other day and no one was beaten up. Life is about choices and how you handle situations. Clearly no matter what happened the cyclists made the wrong choice.

    Brilliant River Rat!!! You have my deepest sympathies. I had the same issues but after day two last year. Not fun at all.

    Pretty sure it's a con. Never heard of them. I'm also in PMB. I contacted a similar advertiser who stated they where in PMB and got a long story that they not actually in PMB. They state that only for advertising purposes. Mine was a con. The user name was Randombikes. They want 70% upfront and 30% once delivered. I was looking at the Scott foil R2. They promised me they have stock of all sizes. I got my LBS to get me a price and availability and guess what......nothing. All sold out over a year ago. Be carefull!

    I'm in for the 105km. I did my first one in 2011 in the hectic heat and I was unfit. Almost died. I missed last year due to flu so looking forward to this one.
