  1. Ok, a pace of 5-6 hours is more do able for me. Glad you guys are cool with that. Why not make a day of it.
  2. IS a time of 3:45 taking it EASY??? Don't think I will keep up as that's a crazy fast time. Think I am already starting to sweat. .
  3. From CWC for R11 000 and they have stock. Now that's an extremely light frame but I would still suggest going second hand.
  4. Go second hand!!! If not then the scott addict's are really good and not expensive (carbon frame). Check out crown cycles. They have the addict's for sale at a very good price. Light frame and good components. If you can't afford it wait a year as tiagra, sora etc aren't that great. Shimano 105 is excellent as well as the sram products and are relatively cheap. Good luck. PS: I personally wouldn't suggest any of the above bikes you listed as soon you will be upgrading components etc.
  5. Olympic own the thule next door and bridge own the thule across the road.
  6. Who cares about him?
  7. Hoping to get the npo that I am involved with to buy a couple tickets.
  8. Which old age home are you raising funds for?
  9. And how much would we get payed? Sure you getting paid.
  10. Basically grey products.
  11. Yes his response was not great and maybe the lbs owner should go on a marketing course but why must people complain about every silly little thing?
  12. Dam. Guys, go back to University and take a course by the name of 'economics'. If the demand outweighed the supply which is seems it did then the price was justifiable. Go ride your bikes and stop complaining, there's more to life than being an old moaning fart.
  13. Yes also saw it. Commented to my team that it's probably stolen. Downhill bike with a little kid riding it. Definitively not needed for his purposes. I sure wouldn't ride a dh bike to a soccer meeting on the side of the road.
  14. Coffee and then several glasses of water throughout the day. Sometimes a Coke when it's very hot and I am desperate (at uni).
  15. Where? Will help!!!
  16. HAHA. ROTFL!!!
  17. True, but they will fix it quickly. One cassette is probably missing a spacer which they could have etc.
  18. What I did is take the bike with race wheels and made sure the training wheels worked without much hassle. Tension of the rd needs to be adjusted but only a tad. Why not take it to a bicycle shop with both wheels and ask them to help you???
  19. http://www.specialized-sa.co.za/detailequipment.php?equip=29&cat=347 http://www.specialized-sa.co.za/detailequipment.php?equip=15&cat=347 Seems like most have been sold. Pity. http://www.specialized-sa.co.za/contentequipment.php?cat=347
  20. Straight from the dealers. The old model S works if they have in your size is a massive 1500 rand. I just got the one down from that for 500 with a carbon sole.
  21. I am not sure how much they get paid but the best option would be to have cyclists marshaling, even if you pay the current marshals R500 and they are doing there job they simply don't understand what happens during cycling etc. Eg: A bicycle picks up speed quickly but takes a long time to slow down.
  22. Also lack of training. Often letting cars in when they shouldn't. Had a car miss me by inches on top of Oukapse Weg. Guess she didn't realize how fast I was going.
  23. They probably get payed peanuts. No excuse but for lets say 100 rand I might also fall asleep.
