  1. Go for a few 120km rides. You shouldn't cramp if you do this.
  2. Ashamed to say I am a cyclist right now. Often when I am in town and needing to do deliveries I have to stop just like this van has (no parking available). Why must they assault the driver??? Name and shame.
  3. Such a good heart. I can only imagine it being a real mission cycling home with the noodle.
  4. Let's Ride

    How fast

I used to use my commuting time as training time. So pace would be around 30 - 35 km/h.
  5. Train train train. You see guys on the oldest and heaviest bicycles coming in the top 20 or so in races. If they can do it you can. Train harder. Trying to lose weight on a bicycle is very expensive and hardly worth it. Either way good luck and enjoy the freedom.
  6. For the price they cost they ain't bad. Keep them pumped up and they work. If you have more cash then Continental Gatorskins are very good.
  7. Rapid Sport for me. I am really tall and they the only guys who could make the bibs fit me. The stretchy part that goes over my shoulder needs to be much longer.
  8. Crown cycles.
  9. Just maintenance and insurance. Argus entry was given by a corporate otherwise I would not have entered. I cycle to work when I can on my old alpina so end up saving money. (But I am always itching to buy something).
  10. Now I am also yawning.
  11. Shouldn't be a problem. I am 82kg's and I ride the zipp 50/60 combo. When it's windy get low down. Apply power and the wind doesn't really make any difference.
  12. With back up vehicles at every ride as well as a club 100 scooter you will definitely feel very safe. We also have a very fast group.
  13. Club 100 is an awesome club. Based in your area as well. Best option would be to post on their wall, you will get a response very quickly. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Club100-Cape-Town/353883007883?ref=ts&fref=ts http://www.club100ct.co.za/contact
  14. Often using a handheld pump on a road bicycle you end up breaking the valve where it joins the tube. Happened to me before.
  15. The headset one will work well. Bicycle light will probably get discarded fairly quickly. --- Sorry to hear all of this guys. Not great.
  16. Zip tie the chip to your fork. Put some rubber behind it so it won't scratch your fork.
  17. Are you possib;y a CTG rider? If so don't take things so personally. Op had a point. You have your views, lets move on.
  18. Awesome, might just have to pop in.
  19. Thanks for the response. Was beginning to wonder how "TEAM CTG" was associated with the club as he isn't shedding a very good light on the club.
  20. Get better soon. Eina.
  21. Awesome. Big ups to him. Anybody with any disability I take my hat off to.
