  1. Thanks, I'll double check the fine print about being in a race. But I'm pretty sure I'm covered on everything, I specically asked if theft, transport damage and riding damage were all covered and they said yes. I only have a MTB - maybe that's why it's covered?????? I'm with AON btw.
  2. My bike is specified as part of my "All Risk" items and is covered regardless of how / where it's lost or damaged.
  3. +1. A bit heavier but tough as nails with good grip.
  4. When I try access their website from work I get this: This website ( http://sabikes.com/ ) has been classified as Malware. Our company firewall blocks access - so something dodgy there!
  5. I was under the impression that Momsen, being local, gave good after sale service ( along with PYGA and Morewood)????? Maybe not?

  8. Thanks B-mozz, those are some great tips. We're also first timers so all info is welcome! How big are the boxes they give you? And is it one per team or one per rider? Where is the last water crossing? So we don't have to pack a change of socks? Cheers
  9. This is what I do (did). Haven't looked back.
  10. Thanks, will do. I have a Rock Shox Reba at the moment so may need to change that.
  11. Has anyone tried or seen 650B's on a Yeti 575? I have a 2010 model (great bike) and was wondering if fitting some 650B's was an option?
  12. Ah yes, I know it. There used to be a double hump on the exit?
  13. Now days you're guaranteed to pass at least 1 set of Doo$'s (what's the plural for Doo$) on the spruit!!!! p.s. Where & what's the 'bombhole'???????
  14. So the best course of action is: If attacked, spray into the perps undies. He's still end up crying!!!!
  15. Sadly I've seen the MTN groups riding 3-4 abreast more times than I care to remember.
  16. MULE is a good one and not too big. Usually the bigger your pack, the more crap you carry.
  17. +1!
  18. Some people just like to learn the hard way.................
  19. Cracking job!!!!!!
  20. Milking cream in the yellow but for rides over 2.5 hrs.
  21. If the airline allows it - buy an extra bag allowance. We did it last yre on Virgin for about R450, but do it online before you fly. Take a LARGE soft tog bag over in your case, unless you just buy one there. Also go to a local travel shop (here in SA) and buy locks that US customs can open to check your bags. Otherwise they will just break your suitcase locks to get access and it's not covered by the airline or US Customs.
  22. What spray? Just good old Doom?
  23. JB hasn't worked out the 2013 schedule yet. I'm also waiting for dates on the Fork Service Workshop.
