Jip. Started. Did up to blue route end and they stopped us out of nowhere. Did all together 80km that day. I've had wind far worse than that. Suspect that fact that the road was packed full of rocks by the local bellhammels had something to do with the "risk" factor...... Who knows.....who cares..... Life goes on. CTCT won't miss my support.

Also still pissed at the pansies not riding that day. I think what Thomo and myself see is a pattern in the organization of risk avoidance. So if there is a 1% change of risk they'll avoid it. Where as my risk is to loose 100% and that risk is nowhere acknowledge by the race organization. They are just.....meh....we'll hold it later or meh....we'll cancel. I don't have time for that and they have lost my participation along with thousands of other people's in the process. Life goes on and so no one really cares.

I'm to scared to ask.......but I do want to ask........eish wena. Lekke place to have there..........

Their lack of communication is putting me off putting down R4k before the end of the month. At this stage I am looking at doing a 3 day "tour" of my own and use the R4k towards accommodation with the added benefit that I will be able (will want to) stop for pics and a coffee / coke along the way.
