  1. Really stupid...... The other day I was coming home from work down Fields Hill (Comrades and Amashova Route) around 5:30 pm, saw this roadie dude flying down the hill, inbetween cars and overtaking trucks, nearly dark as well. I was doing 80 and couldnt catch him until half way down the hill. Also thought thats crazy but with a slightly more forceful adjective.
  2. Make sure it's vas once all put together. No fun going down a drop and having your seat slide down.
  3. Also a good idea to ride with a mate who knows how to use all the tools you carrying. Works for me
  4. Laugh off the pump, take a couple of bombs rather. Always take lube, not as an optional. Chain suck after you ride through a river and your lube washes off going to turn your fun dial backwards.
  5. Agree. No problem with the thing in your jersey, but always in the middle pocket, slides sideways otherwise. I have a cage on my mtb seat post as well but often bottle gets so much mud and crap sprayed up onto it that I can't drink out of it without stopping to take the lid off.

I have crossmark front and rear. Works for me. Flies on flats and climbs hundreds
  7. Yebo. All in there is a lot more than 20k if you link all the loops together but you have to know where you are going. Best to join others who know the routes. Pm me if you keen to organise a ride. From winkle to giba, say 2 and half hour ride, cup of tea and back home probably more than 4 hrs though
  8. Giba gorge also about 35 mins away from where you are. Full on bike park with sweet flowing single track and fully safe. Lovely restaurant , coffee shop for missus to chill at while you ride, and always ous there to hook up with to show you around... Def worth it if you got time.
  9. Must have been a hard knock. That's definatley Joshua. And he would never act as a GIRL.
  10. Your bad. That cat's name is Joshua. Not bloo-cat. Nice wrench your Wendys got
  11. Agree 100%. Even though the measurements aren't accurate, we still burn a heap more than the couch brigade. That likely to pay you back as you age.
  12. What always amazes me is the amount of calories we burn, relative to non exercising people. Well over a million calories used up by just those who have thrown up their stats here. Take 10 couchies, those calories are still inside those boys, and counting. Thats worth a few beers and peanut butter sarmies over a lifetime. Imagine your lazy mates trying to do 40K on a MTB, they going to bleed from the eyeballs, and we just cruise that on a Thursday morning without thinking. And we're avg Joes.
  13. Was a fuuny movie. Im sitting here trying to watch The Wall that I PVRd the other day , while my lighties are watching crap downsatirs. Now that thing, not so funny! I remember it being better.
  14. Hey bru That's pretty good, 90k of climbing over 80 rides, more than 1000m per ride. I reckon that's better than avg. You a racing snake?
  15. What is it about bike riders and cup of chinos? Like milk stout goes with canoeing, beer with hockey practice, bikies and cup of chinos?
  16. Maybe because you stopped the muscle action that was inducing the cramp when you stopped to get the rennies or pickle juice or mustard out of your pocket. Stop and stretch soon as you feel it starting but once it starts, likely to just bite you.
  17. Hey shot Skiddy. Works well.
  18. Is there a cut and paste function for text with my Ipad? If so, how do you use it ?
  19. Yebo. I use mine all the time. All good. Haven't got the footpod so never know how far I run, but the bike features are great. Can also get attaching gps unit which I haven't got.
  20. just a blip on the radar. Kimberley a hard place to play. Rating Raubenheimer . Great game from him
  21. The " Evil Undead". Seems a bit dark... Hey Dad, pls can I have an Evil Undead for my birthday?
  22. Happy to be a nanny-stater in the medical profession this time round - ususally im saying do whatever you do bru - but the kind of injury probable from a helmetless tip and roll just not worth it.
