  1. I am running TL5000 on Vision wheels and no issue seating them.
  2. Mellow Velo in Broadacres.
  3. Do you guys also find that you are pumping your tyre more regularly than you would with tubes? I have been told by my LBS it is normal.
  4. I think the curfew of 6AM for those of us who exercise is stupid. That means I can only leave my house at 6am to go for a cycle.

    The Munga 2020

So I bought Benky's winning bike from last year and I have put a Lauf on it. In a bike for bike comparison in a sprint the rigid fork would take it. That Lauf bounces like a ............. when standing and riding.

    The Munga 2020

I spoke to him at the end of last year.He said this year he might just ride it for fun and see the race from a different angle.
  7. I have been looking for the Steady Rack here in SA but no-one supplies them. They are freaking expensive to import but the perfect rack
  8. that's exactly what I have except I went with the fox 34.
  9. This was my predicament about a year ago. Toss up between the Blur and the Pyga Stage Max. I did ride both. My problem is I am setup sensitive and can feel when my bike is just a few mm out. When test riding a bike for a day I don't believe you get your setup 100% and that can impact the feel of the bike. I just couldn't get the Pyga to feel right under me in the short time I had and the Blur felt more comfortable. That being said the rear suspension felt squishy for me coming from an EPIC S Works (we all have our faults) but I took the gamble and now love my Blur. My problem now is I am considering N+1 in the form of a longer travel bike and the Hyrax is starting to make me itch!
  10. What size bike are you looking for?

    Munga Grit

I am keen for the Grit. After doing day 1 of Munga last year you need far less than what you think you need.
  12. I don't understand the logic of some people.
  13. Been toying with a prototype for some time now and tweaking to get it right for some time. Have finally managed to sort out the Kicker Gen 1-4. Would like to get a Core so that we can get the holes pre - cnc'd. I agree on the need for inflatable balls is to deal with the counter weight issue. Most "simple' Rockers don't take into account the flywheel weight of the IDT and thus the whole balance is off.
  14. it depends what you have done in terms of setup. Go to his website www.richardbaxter.co.za Disclaimer: please note that I am in no way affiliated with Richard however he is probably the best in the business and is a really decent guy. That is why I advocate his services so highly.
  15. the best advise anyone gave me was to go to Richard Baxter for a setup. I was getting strange saddle sores. Also predominantly on one side. I had my setup done numerous times before and tried different saddles. Saddles which were never a problem before were all of a sudden a problem. Bibs brands that I had ridden for years trouble free were now hurting. I even had one guy put a shim under my left cleat to try and alleviate the issue. Richard has a saddle pressure "thingie" that's shows exactly where you are sitting on the saddle and can identify the causes etc. Best money I ever spent.
  16. Don't know how I never saw this thread before! Does anyone know a good carburettor guy in JHB? I bought my son a 65cc in December and this this is giving me endless issues in starting. I struggle my mielie off to get the thing started and if the little guy has a bit of a lay down it is even harder. It is impossible for the little guy to get the thing started let alone myself.
  17. do you guys have a test saddle system going? I currently ride the Spez Phenom and although the saddle is perfect, I am trying to move away from Spez due to personal reasons. Also don't want to buy a saddle only to find it does suit my fat ass. Been there done that as well and paid the school fees.
  18. I got myself one of those Wahoo mats
  19. SO my original Kickr warranty went through Cyclelab. Like you I was frustrated and managed to track down the distributor. I spoke to them and they helped me.
  20. Hi No I didn't. They are the distributer.
  21. so I am not one for public displays of affection perse but in this instance I do feel the need to congratulate Ikhmabi (distributor of Wahoo) for the excellent way in which they have dealt with my various issues over the past. It is no secret that the 2018 version of the Kickr had a few issues. Whenever an issue arose with mine Sean from Ikhambi was responsive and never once queried the cause and accepted the unit was faulty. In April at at during the lockdown I experienced an issue with my Kickr and sent Sean a video of the problem. He diagnosed the problem immediately and said they would replace my unit as soon as they were able to return to operation. True to form I got an email from Sean last week and collected (my choice) my replacement unit yesterday. I am a big fan of the Wahoo products and with the backup service I have received from Sean at Ikhambi I would be happy to continue with their products in the future.
  22. Please tell me mine isn't going to take so long. I will go off my head. It has already been 3 weeks since mine went. I have an internal bearing issue. They said I could still ride it but it drives me crazy with the noise.
  23. Patches, How do you see the construction sector being impacted by all this?
