  1. Hey Not sure where you are based. I'm selling a lot of our camping stuff. Can offer you an 8 man tent at the same price. About 2 years old - used about 5 times, so in good nick... Don't have the photos on this pc but can send them if needed. Also got a bunch of accessories too if needed...
  2. What did you get
  3. I can get onto their site now. And Jenny replied to my mails. So probably just a hosting issue. (Try flushing your dns: from command prompt type ipconfig/flushdns )
  4. bah humbug hope it's a temporary thing and they haven't gone under...
  5. Anybody else having issues access Hong Fu Page? I get a whole lot of Chinese writing which according to Google means the web page is not available for various possible reasons
  6. I like it - might have to drop some cash :-) Will check if the Rand strengthens towards the end of the week.
  7. All the Facebook details point to Willie. So not sure about the 'buy out' rumor... https://www.facebook.com/pg/adrenalinbikes98/about/?ref=page_internal
  8. Hi Yes, in theory. What happens in the Group is generally as follows: the software increases your virtual speed on screen to represent bunch riding. So in theory, you could drop your watts to maintain your original speed. However, this seldom happens - all the guys in the bunch just keep pumping out the same watts. So your speed increases but you don't really 'feel' any respite. Downhill is similar. You will maintain a fairly high virtual speed while just spinning the pedals. But it doesn't feel anything like the road. Some of the high end trainers handle freewheeling better than others - but in general, freewheeling on an IDT is a non starter...
  9. ^^^^This amplified...
  10. you have it summed up pretty well. Zwift = online riding against / with real people. They do have a 'structured workout' section. But in general the platform is more gear towards real life interaction and live workouts. Trainer Road = one of the go-to apps for specific training plans / goals etc. Structured workout without any frills. Do your workout, follow the graph/numbers etc on screen. And then of course, you can import your Trainer Road training plan into Zwift and do the workouts with all the nice graphics. If you haven't already, check out DC rainmaker for indepth info...https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/11/trainer-apps-guide.html
  11. I second Peter - great dealing with him. Out of interest, what rims did you go with? Rims are on my 'to do' list - since about 2016 ;-)
  12. I've been on the receiving end of both scenarios. As a newbie having the fast bunch whizz past is pretty off putting. And as a long route rider catching up with the slower short route riders is always a problem. As for the CTCT, this should never happen. Anyone doing a second lap should be doing it for a jol - not to try do two sub 3's. You've had your chance to race, now let the Group 5 riders ride their own ride... Just my opinion...
  13. so who knows Tracy or Glyn? what a difference a second makes (to some)...
  14. we need a full review. Also good to know estimated costs for those looking to bite the bullet. Looks great!
  15. Thanks. I have a friend who can't ride. Want to take over his entry, but don't see any options on the website. Will try mail/ring them...
  16. subs still open?
  17. Agreed... When doing the N7 bit we had the marshal next to us asking everyone to stay in the YELLOW line...
  18. I'm with Sanlam - never asked for S/N... I had a bike shop do a valuation of the bike and gave that to them - with photos of the bike. No questions asked...
  19. Off topic, but what type of diet you following?
  20. If you plan on riding 'loads' then annual membership is the way to go. Average trail cost is around R50 - and you can easily do three trails in 1 day. So, 5 days riding and you break even. And you get to use all the links/traverses etc Just do it!
  21. Agreed. I finished top 20 twenty in the group. But the time/index is nowhere near the next seed group. I think there should be a 'free for all' seed group. Only requirement is you do your turn at the front! I'm sure this Group would be faster than most of the groups - not because of seeding, simply because everyone in the Group is working to a common goal
  22. I'm 0.1 off the next seed group
  23. I can smell the thatch from here :-) Looks like a nice set up. I'm hoping you have a big stacker or sliding door off to the right where you can enjoy the evening thundershowers while you ride.
  24. We had the same scenario. B group just didn't want to work together. So we went through at (what I felt was) a fairly sedate pace. About 50 from C group did catch us (don't think it was whole of C). Enough to swell the bunch to a size where a number of riders chose to go over the white line at numerous points. The upside to the pace was I still had some legs for the finish and had PB's up all the climbs. A good ride. Weather played along. Marshals were all great. Organizations as good as could be. Thanks 99er TEAM!
