  1. Unfortunately some shops will try and sell whatever they have available whether suitable or not.! That said, brand/model/geometry can also mean different sizes.
  2. The little stops along the way when doing a long ride.? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ™ˆ
  3. Strange that there's been nothing more about this.? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  4. Oversight on my part ... I forgot the required 10 sec incorrect install of battery. (thought of it while browsing for a replacement) Crisis seemingly averted ... ๐Ÿ™ˆ PS Garmin Dual R999. Xoss X2 R699.
  5. So it seems my Garmin transmitter(1st gen) has died without warning. The strap was already replaced. Thought it was just the battery but a new battery hasn't helped. โ˜น I suppose they all need replacing at some point ...
  6. My experience with Cyclelab Online (albeit limited) has generally been good. It's this polka dot/last stock sale that has then chasing their own tails.
  7. I see that they have another sale coming soon ... ๐Ÿ™ˆ
  8. Polka dot chaos.? Hope you get your goods and worry less about how long it takes ... And forget about reaching out to them because that appears to be even more chaotic. ๐Ÿ™ˆ
  9. Northcliff Cycles have had Lazer helmets on sale for as long as I can remember ... perhaps they still do. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  10. Does Freewheel still run a club.?

  12. Looks like the Garmin Edge 705 from back then. That Garmin had more than enough features for the average user. Hopefully the Bryton is similar. 20 years old would raise concerns about battery life though. I was able to change the battery on my 705 and was still using it not so long ago. Only changed in order to have something that was radar compatible.
  13. Not cyclists but could easily have been ...
  14. Posting on behalf of a fellow cyclist. ๐Ÿคฌ
  15. As roadie contemplating some recreational MTB activity, the Oiz H30 has also caught my eye ... ๐Ÿค”

  17. Pedal Power Association has groups riding weekends ... could be a good place to start.
  18. Clear Gorilla tape.? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

  20. That seems to the operating model of a number of distributors ... no repair facility but will offer you a discounted replacement instead. Alternative should Knipe not be able to assist but unfortunately also JHB based: https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/bike-services-and-repairs/693222/service-and-repair-of-all-smart-trainers CE Cycles (Tokai) was the preferred Elite service centre before the change in distributor. Perhaps they can assist with Wahoo.
  21. One benefit of Elite trainers is having the distributor/service facility available in CTN. Wahoo distributor is known to be very supportive but based in JHB. Keep us posted on your experience with Knipe.
  22. And the more humans the greater the chance for disappointment. Perhaps that's where the smaller online operators are a little better. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  23. On the road repairs are often just to get you back home. Most slug applicators work well enough for this but Dynaplug is apparently the gold standard while some will say it's the Stans Dart. If using slugs, complete a more permanent repair (mushroom plug etc) when home.
  24. This.! The sense of entitlement is crazy and evident all the time. Nothing and nobody else matters to these individuals.
  25. Wasn't the tragic loss in Sea Point not so long ago also a door.? I too got taken out by a door in Green Point in 2016. Also seen a few others over the years, not to mention the near missed. So yes, it happens more often than you realise with differing resultant damage.
