  6. Building with same frame .where did you get the surely fork and did you use the SS specific rear hub
  7. You have good ideas .The combo you are suggesting is great .Make sure it is the protection type..Also look at Geax saguaro rear and Xking or nobby nic in front .Also had racing ralphs in front ,but i needed more grip so i put on nobby nic .Both nobby nic and X-king have excellent grip and the contis are super strong .Race -king is the best rear tyre in my opinion
  8. Spend R4500 and get a Giant revel ,Better bike than any stuff at sportsman,s warehouse
  9. Mike bike,s advice or get a single speed .I only do interval training 2 to 3 hours max. No time for 4 hour traing sessions

  11. WTB silverado is relatively cheap and works for most .Then spez avatar or phenom
  12. You probably can,but then you have to ride with then also
  13. I have bought all my bikes used and some parts .But then i buy good quality stuff from somebody legit .Some bikes were better used than new from the shop .Already tubeless converted .Better handelbars ext .I will not trust my 100kg on a carbon road frame from no-name china
  14. Santa cruz tallboy carbon XL Mavic hope wheelset Full XT groupset Thomsen seatpost silverado saddle R45000. weght 12.5Kg 3600/kg Eish .But will do it again
  15. Solomon,s should not have sold you those rim.s if they new what they were selling .Unfortunately i will not take any advice from a salesman at solomon,s or cajees .The usual story is.Other people are buying them .These are popular .They tried to sell me road shoes for a MTB stage race .These guys are in the retail trade .Not cycling trade
  16. I am right handed .Will a lefty work for me ??
  17. I think they gonna sell a lot of these
  18. Music to my ears
  19. Glad to see your ego is healthy and you put a non rigid fork in front .Nice bike
  20. If you know what N3S1 means .Then you qualify .This is my current status
  21. Dryland has a training plan for the CPT on it,s website .I have used this for every stage race succesfully .The best is to build a good base and then follow this plan for the last 12 weeks .I have never done the amount of hours ,but whenever i train i make an extra effort .If you have limited time interval training is good enough
  22. Welcome to the 2 floor of the RSA Titanic
  23. Rather get a lockout fork if you want to keep on riding your SS .I do races with mine and train on it a lot .Rigid is just uncomfortable and may put you off eventually
  24. She weighs 10.4kg .I will put on a SS spesific sprocket 36 teeth later and toss the rest .The lockout fork was a used one that i got for 2k and works great .Rigid fork is not lekker .Wheelset does the job and cost only 2k for the pair without tyres
  25. I had 2 anthem 29ers .Now santacruz tallboy .I love the tallboy but would go back to anthem any day .Pyga and anthem have similar suspension .The maestro type just work so well .All my bikes are XL weight 100kg
