  1. i agree .both xt or both x9 for that matteror both atx makes sense
  2. you are not the biggest rider,so weight plays a role here.I would go for a 26 dual suss or a 29 HT.I have a 29 duel suss ,but i weigh 99kg..29 Ht with tubeless tyres at 1.8bar ride smooth anyway.I had to choose the same for my daughter that is exacly the same hight and weightas you .She rides a 29 medium HT with x9 and i struggle to keep up.For comfort i would then go for 26 duel sus
  3. I was considering swopping my giant anthem 29 frame for a niner rip.I did some research and found no justfication other than 'want to'.So i bough a second anthem 2012 model and i love this bike even more than the 2011 .The frame is as light as a carbon and maestro susp with rockshock sid works realy well.My xl anthem 29 weighs 12kg.I cannot see the justfication of a R17000. alu frame from any manufacturer
  4. Giant anthem o 29 R27000.duel sus rockshock sid,2x10 Xt .great geometry ,12kg for xl bike.Read the reviews!
  5. just like those apes in their flashing blue light cars running people off the gauteng roads. If i look at the scene ,poor visibilty cannot be blamed.RIP
  6. You just have to look at the DAKAR 2012 to realize that a lot of teams pulled out due to financial constraints .When money is tight people would rather spend it on a less selfish thing like a bikerace. The CE is a huge commitment in TIME and moneyI.It is like getting a partime job for which you pay
  7. Moerse fight kerels. Dis warm hier!
  8. I have bought 2 bikes and a fork on the hub and saved R20000.0.I live in pretoria and they were sent from Kaapstad and Nelspruit by 2 very helpfull and honest hubbers. If they have no knowledge, office, landline nr ,spouse, kids ,parents ,i would not pay and wait for the parcel .Pickup rather. As for cannondale ,they need to be fed and cleaned regularly
  9. I can just see this rider smiling with dirt on his teeth
  10. Sharp steering front = harder tyre .Traction and most of your weight rear= softer tyre
  11. Same weight. tyres and pressures Saguaro 2.2 works great at 1.8 bar
  12. My weight is 97kg .29inch tubeless tyres. i run 2 bar front 1.8 rear.Recently i have dropped to 1.7 allround just to experiment and it feels great .My daughters bike has tubed 29inch tyres and she weighs 68kg .2 bar seems to work fine for her.Experiment until you find what works best. The same goes for shock pressure

  14. Sounds like he is a white supremist and a spy .ses van die beste vir die windgat switsertjie en hy moet om verskoning vra!
  15. Silverback is good value for money ,but if you buy a new bike at that price and you are 1.8 cm tall ,you will need a large frame .Thus a large frame in that price range will weigh a lot more than a good used bike .There are always large and medium bikes plentiful on the hub .I see it weighs in at 13.5 kg which is very good for a bike in that price range. Also have a look at swinn moab bike
  16. bananas and biltong and after cooldown rooibostee with lots of milks works for me.Thats about all i have an appetite for anyway
  17. Momsen al29 with x9 .already tubeless. good buy !
