I'm looking for buggered disk or very deep section wheel that I can turn into a single speed wheel for a project I'm busy with ... no brakes required ... can run either fixed or freewheel doesn't matter Happy to pay a few ZA rondt if necessary 😎

So as my problems compound, another big crash, suspected hit and run, in trauma ICU for a few days with concussion, a bleed on the brain and a few other things ... then Bilateral DVT in the legs putting me back in hospital ... Luckily Grumpy @GrahamW from my LBS The Workshop in Alberhoughton, all round good guy, borrowed me a 'smart trainer' I have promised the medical team and my family that I wouldn't do anything stupid so choose an 8k flattish route, small chain ring AND only 1st and 2nd gear .... a maximum of 20mins per day for all of this week! I'm not a high cadence rider but I kept to what I said I'll do 😎 Getting over this mentally I believe will be the biggest challenge but let's see

Look to my mind gravel bikes, road bike with fat tires even a flippin 'monstercross' that's all fair game! But like I said I'm just naar with the world at the moment so don't take anything I say too seriously 😜

More climbing and more 'gravel' I reckon! But that's about it, it's not a mountain bike dammit 😜 I'm not so sure about the 'on any bike' sentiments otherwise what differentiates it from any other XCM race ... you don't see MTB's or road bikes and stuff at cyclo cross races, especially WC's or gravel bikes and road bikes at XCO/XCM WC's Anyway don't mind me, I'm still in the Jurassic Park era of cycling clearly and I'm lying in a hospital bed miff with the whole world at this point

Having just gone through this recently, you pretty much have it correct. I fortunately have 'gap' cover as well, busy fighting with them about the dental work I needed after my first big fall mid August ... thank heavens in a way that in my recent fall I didn't have any teeth issues ...

A short ride to my LBS to thank @GrahamW aka Grumpy for the help with a replacement fork. Already been color matched and painted by the big guy Thys! Also been struggling with swollen and sore calves, riding always helps with that!

Still nowhere ... this concussion is a bliksem to get over 😫 Looking at some options to replace the Look's fork but actually just want to sleep most of the day ....

I don't have the experience many here do but I have seen strange wear like that, not broken off though, when a 205mm rotor was used in a 200mm caliper setup. I was still surprised that the rider didn't notice any strange sounds, scraping of the outer edge of rotor against the metal of the caliper or the pads touching on the little parts of the rotor. I put 5mm spacers in and solved it that way .. he's still riding it like that now

As said before the problem is not the software, app or feature but more between the chair and the keyboard 😉

Having a tough time of it lately ... having just recovered from my last fall. Went for an easy spin this past Saturday, took my customary picture and a few K's later came to grief. No idea what happened, woke up in trauma ICU. Was sent home yesterday, still have a mild concussion and some abrasions ... just rest for a while now! Neuro surgeon says I may or may not remember what happened. All indications are it was a hit and run, some runners found me

Yip its as bleak as it looks ... guess we won't be 'gravelling' through there for too much longer 😒

And in my experience so many times riders put tubes into mtb tubeless tires and then have a puncture soon after ... very good tip that! On the very odd occasion I have had to I find a smallish stone and run it around the inside of the tire to at least try to break off any pieces sticking through. Worked so far.
