Yes the blue is definitely optional ... I ride the green which I find tough enough and within my 'limited' technical skillset. The orange is 15, green 20 and blue 30

What is it about riding at Thaba Trails as opposed to 'outrides' that makes it so special ... - you're guaranteed to see some wildlife - wrestling the bike up some rocky bits - hearing the sound of the back wheel skipping and slippin on the downs - occasionally hearing tyres pinging on rocks - being alone with your thoughts, no traffic ... NO traffic at all - trails that are well maintained in such a way that they are not 'manicured' but still an absolute blast to ride! If you've never been or haven't been for a while you owe it to yourself to go and have some fun 😎

Not as successful as I had hoped .... 'top dead centre' is a tad off, apparently my 'spec' was not detailed enough. I guess it's really only a cosmetic matter if running a round blade but will really mess with the timing of an oblong one? Anyway I'll fit it to my hardtail that I only ever ride occasionally and just happens to have a round blade I'll post a pic of it fitted just now

Just another one of those things I get flack for but anyway almost all the riders I come across eat and drink way too much on training rides ... and fancy stuff nogal! Skud maar net my kop ... But I guess now that the fancy gopro harness looking picnic packs are cool again one must fill it with the appropriate fancy jungle juice and Tarzan bars?

Anyone using a trainer with standalone/virtual software that is not online ... would still like to be able to upload the ride to Strava etc Preferably Windows based but Android would also work

Since I have noticed that this topic comes up quite often and there are certainly very knowledgeable guys on the hub ... how about giving some guidelines regarding initial install and setup tips in just one thread? Step by step with pics for us in the back por favor 😉 For example things I wonder about ... b-screw at installation, chain length, correct use of the 'red tool' General thoughts about chain line and how to check it

No idea but I do recall quite a few empty tents all those years ago, luckily because I grabbed an extra 2 mattresses and had a 'slightly' more comfortable nights rest 😎

No expert but its not only about fitness in my humble opinion ... A certain amount of 'vasbyt' is required and that's probably a bigger problem than outright leg fitness, maar nou ja wat weet ek 🤪
