So due to Lil' Ben having issues with his RS Reba team leaking oil on the weekend at Groot Marico and grabbing my FOX F100X terralogic till it's sorted I have had to put the Black on my S-works hardtail anyway. Firstly I had the Black serviced by Johan Bornman, working sweet thanks man! Rode it through Rietvlei zoo farm tonight and it is great, the steering seems a bit 'quicker' but not sure if that's just cause it's different. First time I ever rode with an 80mm travel fork and I'm a big guy (some of you may have noted .....). Using no preload and used about 95% of the travel. There's lots of technical stuff there so I guess it's all good.

Spidy did that include checking the tyre for 'goeters' properly ?

Thanks guys! So despite all the warmongering and general time wasting there is still useful info available on the HUB. Could only get 600 and 1000 in my quick quest after work and have given it my best. Will finish it off with Brasso as suggested tomorrow night before the Zoo Farm night race where I am of course going to yet again whip MuxMan's backside all over the side of that hill ............ That despite the fact I fell a shot there this evening with LittleBen, eina knee and klapped my chin such a shot that my jaw hurts. Can't chew anything harder than yoghurt at the moment .........

It now has new seals so I don't want to damage them! Is 600 fine enough?

Just got my bike back from my LBS and found out that I have scratched a stanchion at some point and it is damaging the dust wiper which is then causing oil leakage. The scratch is pretty small but such that you can feel it with your nail. Since it is pretty near halfway along the stanchion it is going to 'pass' the wiper quite often during normal riding. Was thinking to maybe sand that little piece with some fine sandpaper to take the 'edge' off it. What y'all experts think?
