  1. I can understand what you're saying here but jeez it's not a plane that needs safety checks every single time you go out ... Bikes haven't needed that type of service or check for many years why now suddenly? I just want to go out and ride my bike and check it out occasionally like I have for 30 years, is that too much to ask from someone like SRAM?
  2. Sadly not everyone is as good a human as you are Dips and I know that from personal experience!
  3. To good not to steal and share, hope you don't mind [emoji41]
  4. SBR is the only place I can really say that I notice the improved braking from discs, definitely more confident and my Strava times show it not just 'feel'. Maybe just me though?
  5. Was bleeding from the eyes so didn't really notice ... Was in red/black Specialized kit on a black/green Specialized Tarmac ... Had my earphones in [emoji41]
  6. Also rode there yesterday, guess from 7 till about 9:30 ... Was pretty warm but didn't find the wind too bad, I do ride there quite often though! I saw a gentleman that had fallen on one of those fast downs, some road rash but otherwise seemed ok was standing next to his bike.
  7. Sorry, I meant it purely from your 'I'll put meat on the plate every time Josh' posts
  8. You can have another boerie roll today Patch ....
  9. It had been snowing all night. So at .... 8:00 I made a snowman. 8:10 A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn't make a snow woman. 8:15 So, I made a snow woman 8:17 My feminist neighbor complained about the snow woman's voluptuous chest saying it objectified snow women everywhere 8:20 The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it could have been two snowmen instead 8:22 The transgender person asked why I didn't just make one snow person with detachable parts 8:25 The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with. 8:28 I am being called a racist because the snow couple is white.. 8:31 The Muslim gent across the road demands the snow woman wear a burqa 8:40 The Police arrive saying someone has been offended 8:42 The feminist neighbour complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needs to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role 8:43 The Government equalities officer arrived and threatened me with eviction 8:45 TV news crew from the BBC shows up. I am asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow-women? I reply, "Snowballs" and am called a sexist. 9:00 I'm on the News as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobic sensibility offender bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather. 9:10 I am asked if I have any accomplices... My children are taken by social services 9:29 Far left protesters offended by everything are marching down the street demanding for me to be beheaded Moral: There is no moral to this story. It's just the world in which we live today and it's going to get worse.
  10. How about downloading the manual a few days before getting the car and reading through it ... yup I've done that more than once while waiting to collect a new car!
  11. Is probably of no or very little consequence to Odinson, Josh.the.'man' or any other of the vegan congregants but the recent posts on this thread have in fact had the opposite effect they would want I suspect for me anyway. I wish them well though and won't bother to get any further thoughts and info regarding this matter from this thread.
  12. 20mins from home and it's like I've left the city behind ... Thaba Trails
  13. I'm afraid cyclists in general don't think like that in my experience ... They expect 100% perfection every time and I must assume that they provide no less in their own professions, jobs or business ... but I'll just stop there else I just raise my blood pressure unnecessarily
  14. Must agree with Vb and DJR, either accept the limitations of using an MTB in a road race or beg, steel or borrow the right tool for the job ...
  15. Despite the initial weather (lightning) turned out a cracker 'race'! Well done as always Gerald and the Germiston Wheelers team. Special shout out to the DOC riders manning water points, the best support.
  16. 'Vegan religion thread' jissie boet [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  17. Some 'groading' as Pikey called it .....
  18. Bloody well said .... And flipping coffee all over at the end!
