  1. Just me or do those blue chainring bolts somehow look out of place?
  2. Near the beginning I got a few diamonds then earlier this year one that I couldn't use as it expired before I got another [emoji34] I guess maybe I'm just unlucky but all I get is a 25/30 pointer here and there and a 40 this week 'wow' Actually at the point where the cost of Vitality makes no sense to me vs what I get out of it. Will be cancelling it post haste
  3. I will keep that in mind if I ever decide to sell them but they have a sentimental value to me so will keep them long as I can [emoji41]
  4. As my Dad used to say 'ek wil 'n ding se en ek gaan dit se' Why are some people scared to use or admit to having to use their 50 dinner plate? Jeez I damn well use mine every so often and don't care what people may think ... I paid a fair amount to have that range of gears, if you are embarrassed by it take it off and fit a more 'manly' 11-32 then! Skud maar net my kop
  5. I have a set of those hanging in my garage, I had them painted black by Cliff from CycleArt with the logos in white. I use them on my road single speed when I don't feel like riding the fixie wheels [emoji41]
  6. 'Cold front will reach Gauteng by Monday' ... felt like it was already here this morning [emoji25]
  7. Boeing’s 737 Max software outsourced to $9-an-hour Indian programmers https://mybroadband.co.za/news/software/311845-boeings-737-max-software-outsourced-to-9-an-hour-indian-programmers.html
  8. Having personally seen how much trouble you went too to protect your bike I feel for you mate [emoji34] I'm bloody shocked!
  9. You won't find time you HAVE to MAKE time mate!
  10. Since stripping my steel SS bike for a gravel bike I felt my quiver was missing something ... 'slapped' this together over the last day or 2. Surely every self respecting mountain biker has a single speed right?
  11. I can concur a couple of bloody cold mornings this past week on the Highveld ... The -6 for a short bit I can still handle but an average of 2° between 7:00 and 9:30 nee man [emoji45] Went out a bit later yesterday morning as I had to drop my grandson at holiday after care program and it was a heck of a lot more pleasant!
  12. I don't have enough 'watts' for that mate [emoji19]
  13. So close ... No idea what one would do with such a thing though!
  14. Mmmm things falling into place but not just full suspension that'd be too easy [emoji41] Tomorrow I'll start, so y'all will have to wait a bit to see exactly how 'different' [emoji12]
  15. Been riding a Giant Seek commuter frame as a gravel bike fairly regularly but never really got on with it, a harsh ride and as I was told recently 'Giant the Hilux of bikes'. Also had a steel Jamis Dragon frame built as a single speed which I sadly hardly ride even though I really liked it, 1 gear just doesn't fit into the kind of riding I do these days [emoji41] So moved all the stuff from the Giant to the Jamis, never really understood the hype around steel but I definitely feel it is way more comfortable on the gravel than the Giant .....
  16. Bunch of nutters I tell you [emoji12] *pink slip signed, entry done* Have a granddaughter that should be making her appearance around that time so hopefully won't interfere!
  17. Last time I posted a photo here I got told off by Marius, some may remember him ..., hopefully this one is a bit better. Samsung S8, Highveld frost showing itself.
  18. Sunvalley ... more golfers than cyclists out this morning!
  19. Winter rides on the Highveld ... my hands are always bloody cold despite what it says on the tags or my old timer tricks!
