  1. Well, at least you cannot be more under prepared than what I'm going into next Saturday, add to that an ITB, but screw that. Trust things will go well and good luck!
  2. Just to be clear, is this the status that our entries should be in? Mine says Entry information missing and will not be confirmed untill I have submitted the missing information. Is this the same as last year where the qualification and now the club confirmation just needs to be done before 28/02/2017, but it is still successfully entered apart from that?
  3. It really is about time that the Two Oceans organizers offer steak and chips along the route, what should we do with potatoes and bananas only? https://aerialspartan.com/two-oceans-marathon/ "The only thing I did not like was the lack of food. I was carrying my hydration pack anyway, as I wanted to bring my own food supply. Potatoes and bananas are just not enough for 56km."
  4. Luckily next years shirt is more my taste, not the 2017 circus design we got... I specifically referred back to the 2017 shirt as well, and it does not correspond with the 2018 sizing, so I took my best guess. Hopefully there will not be another surprise come expo day.
  5. Two oceans entrants... Last year's shirt was smaller than what it should've been. I did not purely go on sizes, but also measured and worked on the cm's in the sizing chart as well. This year I once again measured, compared with the sizing charts and compared to last years (small) shirt sizing and measurements. Is it just me or does it appear that the sizing is bigger again this year. It makes it so difficult to choose your size if it does not stay constant each year. Something that should not happen as it is Adidas each year!
  6. Fair enough I say. One standard right through http://www.coachnorrie.co.za/2017/10/31/comrades-call-time-on-mat-to-mat-timing-no-nett-times-for-qualification-says-race-director/
  7. Was bound to happen after what Comrades did this year..... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10155613104585661&id=171854890660&refid=8&_ft_=qid.6483497625884195393%3Amf_story_key.-5562538548671453006%3Atop_level_post_id.10155613104585661%3Apage_id.171854890660&__tn__=%2As%2As-R
  8. This exactly.... But it would help, greatly, if you can do marathon distances...
  9. Officially a R1,000 poorer yes, thanks guys. Buy a R500 Adidas shirt and get 56k of beautiful views and some pain for free.... https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/adidas-mens-response-ss-tee/4660
  10. Agreed, there is no way in hell I will pay all those money (flights, accommodation etc), to just go and run a 21 inland, not even see the ocean once. This popularity of this 21 does not make sense to me, not for someone going all the way down for it. If I could no do the ultra, it would be the trail at least.
  11. Ok, how de heck do we pay the entry on the webtickets side,I cannot find the entry there, despite creating the link from the omtom side
  12. Was the medical questionnaire not one of the steps we had to do beforehand, together with our details? I did this already last week.
  13. So, after delaying the entries for two months, it is still the same old same old as previous years with Omtom...
  14. https://www.facebook.com/TwoOceansMarathon/videos/10155605168870661/
  15. Will also enter again, this race will also be on my to do list as long as I can. Loved it!
  16. Glad things are looking up! What makes me gatvol (excuse the pun), is I have never done so many butt etc exercises in my life as these past months, but it still returns and just gets worse as soon as the load ups... Now I don't do them each day and morning and evening, but I just cannot afford the time to do it that often, then I'm not going to sleep. Anyways, it seems this is the only solution, so clearly I must do something wrong, or too few, or I don't know... Do these exercises as much and often as you can, forever.... http://strengthrunning.com/2011/01/it-band-injury/ https://forums.runnersworld.co.uk/discussion/34691/itbs-it-can-be-beaten
  17. With our marathon next weekend, I am really starting to get seriously pee'd off with this itb. Just last weekend I thought it was becoming better, this weekend (after only having one run in the week) it was way worse again. I would so love to hear how someone that had it bad and did stuff like comrades etc, managed to sort this nonsense out.. And I can really understand why people can decide to do the operation and get it over with, I can really relate!
  18. Thanks Stretch, I will keep it in mind. Our seconding team will obviusly be taking us up there and then go before us. Luckily we are used to waking up a 3am, so it should'nt be a shock to the system and normal day. It just turns out to be a lonnggg day for the seconding team and the kids, but anyways...
  19. Only negative when traveling to Pmb for the downrun is you will have to get up crazy early. I don't know how early yet, but judging by the traffic buggerup during the run towards Pmb, as well as the more than 2 hours from Pmb to Umhlanga afterwards, I guess it is going to be pretty darn early!
  20. We have fantastic accommodation in Umhlanga, seafront. Unfortunately I did not think about that flight of stairs for one minute, until we arrived there after the race... Luckily my son is big enough so I send him up and down the stairs the next morning with all the luggage and I only had to attempt one down. I guess next year with the down-run I'm going to cry, but we'll stick to the spot, really enjoyed it.
  21. Thanks Pooyan. So they are basically screwing us as family multiply members. Either that or they screwed up my migration. Last bit of confirmation then please, can anybody that is on family multiply confirm what is their limits please and did it also decrease like mine? From what we can see, the wife's limits gets consolidated to the men's (mostly - main member) profile. IOW, wife now has 0 when you log into her profile and I have the 25,000 and 18,000
  22. Is there anybody here that is a single Multiply member, that can confirm the new onlineshop and edcon limits as per the new online shop profile please?
  23. I am SO undecided about my next purchase. Another Brooks Ghost or another Saucony Triumph / Perhaps the Ride little brother (As I have hear good things from them from clubmates) Good to hear you are happy too!
  24. Same goes for Nike. As for Adidas, I so want to give the Supernova's a go, but why oh why don't they make them wider or at least then in wide fit as well.
