  1. So that is one speed session per week. No hill repeats?
  2. So indeed.... With the new online shop they reduced our limits and consolidated it. Like in our case we have used up more than R25,000 together for the year, so the limits we had left for the year (+- R15,000) is now gone after the consolidation and we have now zero left for the rest of the year. How can you make such an decision during the year and implement it without giving notice (AFAIK)? They are really screwing us now. This means R25,000 per year less on the online shop (Including takelot) and R18,000 less on Edcon.
  3. Someone in the know, please tell me this is not so.... Since the migration to the new online shop, there is some of our spending limits missing. I questioned this and this morning one of the online shop guys gave me a call. According to him, the online limits has been consolidated since the inception of the new online store. In other words, it is not R25,000 - Online shop and R18,000 - Edcon for you and your wife, meaning R50,000 in total for the family for the online shop anymore, but it is R25,000 in total for the family now. Please tell me this is not the case? And if not, please tell me where have I missed the Momentum communication to us as members, saying that this will be the case? Nailing us with this as well, 3/4 through the year?
  4. Without a doubt. Take the R200 odd to enter Mweni marathon vs up to R3,900 odd for Skyrun and the likes.
  5. As far as I understood, the Ultra includes our Adidas shirt and the trail nothing as well. I would love to do the trail one day, but I refuse to pay these prices they charge for trail runs.
  6. Not at all.. I have kinda made peace that I will have to skip it and qualify next year and rather try and sort this itb that keeps on surfacing out. But I my plan b is to keep an eye on the progress and if it does, to still go do a qualifier (underprepared) without any crazy time aspirations. Deep down I think I know what is going to happen and I hope should it, that I won't regret it...
  7. Those things are overrated. You will however need to upgrade to Mr Sport R500 ones if you want to shave another 8 mins off that time! That does however look like a 2mm heel to toe drop, so perhaps there is merit in the 12mm is too much arguments!
  8. I can't imagine that 4mm can cause an issue yes. Perhaps from 12 - 3mm, but I agree. Since starting with the 8mm ones, they do feel nicer to me, but that can purely be the different brand and actually more premium cushioning in this instance. Thanks so far guys
  9. 1. Is heel to toe mm's REALLY that big an issue? For this example, 12mm together with a 8mm shoe. The two used together as well as is the 12mm really too high and would it be better is 10mm is the max. (Once again, not sure is these mm's is really that critical?) 2. If these two shoes are different brands, is that more of a problem. How much truth is there in sticking to the same brand in multiple shoes? Is this all bollocks or can this, especially the 12mm one, be part of my itb issues? What does not make sense to me, if this mm's or then the shoe brand is part of the problem, is why did the itb only resurface then in peak April training, and not somewhere in between already (June to April with a marathon in November)
  10. The 2018 rates will be R1 366 - R1 033 - R484. So R600 HR in 2018. It's the same decrease as with us Private as well, from R2,000 down to R1,000. The 2,000 was an increase from R900. This was a bugger up of note to start off with, a nice one for us, for 12 months at least, but really a red face one for them, stupid. The 2,000 Health returns vs our R3,200 premium on Health, actually means that we pay R1,200 per month for a family of 4 for our Hospital plan (with health platform benefits) Surely that is not sustainable so I recon this was a error to begin with. I guess they know what they are doing and have their reasons, but this 2018 adjustment leaves a sour taste in how they handle yearly adjustments.
  11. Health - 200 (20+100+80) Safety - 70 (20+50) Excluding the Safe days App for now Finance - 120 (20+100) Excluding the Spend App for now Get more - 140 (70x2) Thats 530, without the 160 available on the safe and money apps. So add that and your on Platinum. If I'm reading the new points table correctly of course.
  12. Indeed. We can also wear Guess and Sissy boy etc... LOL On those type of specials we pay +- 200 - 300 for Sissy boy jeans, crazy. But no, the only robbing that takes place is these retailers. Do you realize what these clothing costs them as they STILL make a profit. The clothing industry is a RIPOFF... The other handy part of Edgars and the 40% was the Oakleys...
  13. I quickly looked at my points. Now I'm in the same boat, but only 3 products. We are currently on 1910/1500 points. I take it the (200 + 150 + 200 + 500 points) are for a single member, iow multiply by 2 for a family, thus giving you a MAX of 2100 points available? Is the 500 points under get more also 1000 per family? For example, Health, Multiply and Life insurance = 3 x 2 (Me and her) x 120 points?
  14. From what I see, Edgars is actually going down from 40% to 25%. The rest just looks the same.
  15. What apps are you guys talking about?
  16. So the R2,000 per month drops to R1,000. I thought initially the jump from 900 to 2,000 was too good to be true. :-( One has to wonder who decides on these numbers, just to realize oh no, this was a bugger up. Lets half it again a year later... Thanks for the details
  17. Not anything more than both your digs at me, first yesterday regarding Edcon and then about my blanket statement, which was actually an opinion about how I cannot see how another deal can beat someone that is already on Myriad and Multiply, to just add Health as well, which is seriously competitive to start off with. From this side I'm asking a question and giving an opinion/asking a question and getting digs about blanket statements and changing approaches. But lets leave it, we're buggering up the thread. I'm not following your amounts for the 2018 health returns. As example, how will the health returns be calculated for two adults and two children on the Custom Associated State?
  18. Have a look in the mirror...
  19. Do that and whilst at it and HIV test as well, submit that for your points too. All the assessments, with the safety photo validations, the broker needs to allocate all the points that he must from your visit to him, do your active days per month (16) and that will take you far...
  20. The health assessment is THE start of it and it is free.. "Members will not earn HealthReturns if they do not have a Healthy Heart Score. 1. Get your Healthy Heart Score In order for us to provide you with a Healthy Heart Score, you need to complete a health assessment. As a Multiply member, you are entitled to one free health assessment per year." https://www.momentum.co.za/for/you/multiply/premier/health-returns
  21. Yes, but even platinum is still nothing to complain about whilst you wait the two years out.
  22. Why/how do you go down to R1,000? We are also on custom. The blanket statement was based on the Multiply add on benefits and the fact that I could not get something that compare and are better for my circumstances. In fact the "blanket statement" was more of a blanket opinion, the "I cannot imagine" part you know. Perhaps time to "change your approach" a bit?
  23. Why not their medical aid/Hospital plan? I cannot imagine anybody else having a better deal than what you can get with Momentum Health & Multiply? Just the health returns is R1,000 per month per adult. We get R24,000 per year mahala in our health savings, just by putting on the running shoes each morning!
  24. Don't agree either. It's a pain in the butt because you are not on top of how it works and streamlining it, due to yourself of a crappy broker yes. I joined when you could still get to private club in the first year, I reached in within 6 months. Now yearly I re qualify for private club within 3 months. In the beginning of each year I go for the health assessment and set aside 30-45 minutes and do both me and my wife's questionnaires. The whole Multiply system is the best it was currently.
  25. Unless I'm missing something, you say plane tickets, accommodation etc is R3,000 more to Germany than to Cape Town?
