  1. bump The nose piece will help a bit - any idea how to make the arms stick to your head a bit more. The Rudy Project Sportmask only have plastic arms with rubber grips on the temples only I'm looking for sticky rubber / grip on the end of the arms behind the ear/against the head any ideas ?
  2. yep like said - for road its worth it if you have that kinda cash Mtb -- naaa, rather replace shoes every now and again - Max 2K - decent shoes and you dont feel that bad if they get stuffed up in the mud and rocks
  3. yeah only the nose piece can adjust. The helmet - Giro Ionos pushes onto the arms of the glasses and this makes that the nose piece lift off my nose or something like that. Don't want to put the arms under the helmet strap that just looks and feels stupid
  4. Hi Guys What home product or DIY can i do to prevent my sunglasses from slipping ? Most glasses like oakleys sit quite tight on your head but my Rudy project Sportsmasks sit nice and loose and I like the feel of it - only problem is that after a few min in the sun with the sweat and all the glasses need to be pushed back into place What can I apply to the frame arms to help them grip better on my head ? Will sillicone help ? Its on the inside of the glasses so it won't mess up the "look" of the glasses and no one will see my DIY job. as long as it works. any ideas ? Thanx guys - happy new year!
  5. Ruunners are more friendly becuase they are kakking off. Most guys on their expensive bikes dont even get their heartrate up - they are just showoffs - like BMW drivers LOL Don't be sensitive - people differ and some think they are what their not and then thinks that that makes them elevated above the rest. It like driving your car - waving at random cars is just weird... The again if you have a cheap car like me then you can wave to people in the same class car than me ,, If I were to wave at a Audi or BMW drive - you get it Just do your thing on your bike - the idea is to enjoy the ride and train - if your a social guy - join a friend or a group and chat within the group. Don't go out looking for your next best friend. Enjoy the new year ppl! Remember - don't wave if you don't mean it
  6. HAHA Colonel. Better to keep quite and keep the peace..... easier to say nothing than to start a LA thread.
  7. Definitely not camera shy North South East West
  8. its a good thing to ban it. At least let elite and amateur racers learn to race on instinct, the pro's seems to struggle with the Idea of a radio ban, maby just because they got used to the idea om being told what to do when and how hard for how long etc. ITS good for Cycling and will make riders stronger as more breaks will form and the bunch have to work harder to try and catch them.
  9. Crazy man. Glad your ok. What i do when i'm alone on the bike and see someone on the side of the road, I try to (if no cars are comming) take a wide passing and also increase speed for the few meters while passing the guy or group. Always feel dodge. Must imagine that you must have been shocked to feel someone jumping on your back! Cheers man, safe cycling
  10. RIP Alan. Sad too have a fallen Hero.
  11. some people put the bikes further to the front so you can see the tire - back or front either way from the inside when seated. This will help you to remember if you can see part of the tire. Other wise - POST IT on the steering wheel - BIKES!!!! then you will hopefully remember LOL Will hate myself if I screw up my bikes in a stupid way like this! Good luck
  12. I thought MTB'ers didn't care about "look" or anything ? Thought one could ride a MTB wit bib and T-shirt and still look "MTBer" ? Guess I was wrong - you guys are also a bunch of crossdresser pussies hiding behind leghair and mud. I love Cycling
  13. haha - the "R" could be mistaken for REAL - almost the same - R just off center. Its a REAL TREK. Cool bike though. but likes the "Astana version" more, so far.
  14. I'm so gatvol to hear all these stories. If one then shoots one of these bastards you end up in jail and the criminals walk free because its then a moerse issue. If they killed one of you guys to steal a cellphone of bike - it would have been something but the cops would not take prints of follow up leads. And even if they do catch them - they will go to the "hotel" for a month or something and then walk free again - only with more criminal stills he learned from his friends back in the cell. Its a cats 22 for us I tell you. better get the hell out of GP
  15. ASTANA

    Overtake

perfect opportunity to sit behind the police van and also overtake the slow ones ahead
  16. almost like some people on the hub selling stuff. "Brand new, only done 280 00 km. As good as new. only had for 2 months, not my size looking for something smaller. Price R500 000. non neg. " Haha - people always wanting more that what its worth and calling a used product brand new... There is a reason why a fortuner is "cheap" compared to real SUV's. Love toyota and would never ride any other bakkie, but I just don't get SUV's - as said - not a 4x4 (who is going to go bundu bashing with a R900K audi Q7 or Land Cruiser ? If you want a car buy a car, if you want a bakkie buy a bakkie. Combo's never work quite as good.
