  1. Ja, I think that's the only one that can be categorised as even remotely technical, and even then it's not, really. Funny, the cry for more technical climbing trails doesn't elicit anywhere near the coruscation of SIMPism that the cry for more technical descents does, by the looks of things.
  2. Ha! It was more of a case of my existing bookmarks / shortcuts not working anymore, so meh. Move on. Synopsis: Joined a corporate. Turned out to be professional suicide. Left. Joined a completely different setup. Turned into the best thing ever. Everything's on me. Fell in love with an old hobby again, may have found a chic that gels with my brand of crazy, and things are... excellent. Still a ways to go to get to where I wanna be, but it's full flippin steam ahead. In my own time, by my own rules. Anyway. Totally OT, but @Uni if you need some help, holla. myles@mm-fs.com
  3. Yo, Benster! Yeah, I'm well thanks. It's been a tumultuous few months, that's for sure, but it's all good now. Mostly. LOL. I didn't really log on when the platform changed, and TBH there was very little that I felt I lost as a result of it. I may come on more often again, but it'll only be on a few threads (like this one) which I feel add to other peoples' lives, through understanding of what they have / how it can be gamed etc.
  4. Hey Uni, Easiest way would be for your Ex to do what you're considering. Changing principal member just to take your own one out is a very messy way of doing things. Just remove them from your membership, they will have to apply for a new membership in their own right. It's a simple application form, no medical questions needed to be answered, just a form.
  5. He also has a habit of keeping his tyres really fresh for the end of the race. Sadly those softs were really at the end of their tether by that stage. He said it - as soon as he felt those rears start giving up he knew he'd be passed because of the traction he was losing out of the corners And, he's also just a lekka guy.
  6. Loved it. Give me the Fxxkn kitty bracelet!!!
  7. No. Watch the full rerun tomorrow at 6pm. It's worth it.
  8. I watched the Snyder cut over teh past few days. All I can say is that it felt a whole lot more complete than the Whedon cut. No disparate elements, solid backstories when there needed to be some, and a whole lot more attention placed on the film. Would give it a solid recommend to anyone who can sit through a film that long.
  9. Possibly. The most logical would be a cooling problem, same as Merc themselves had last year when in traffic. However, Merc wouldn't purposefully give them a "bad" engine. That would result in a serious loss of reputation.
  10. Oof. They desperately need the funds, but they also don't need something like this...
  11. I've got the little Bosch one, picked it up at Makro for a special price of ZAR150. This Metabo one looks like it has better bits, the ones in the Bosch set are pretty soft. Not as soft as standard TorqCraft stuff, though. Damn nice little kit, though.
  12. Watched this last night. Excellent movie.
  13. Always the cost of the bike at the normal retail price. 15k
  14. Very true, indeed. As long as you can set the FOV properly.... the standard console FOV is retarded.
  15. You wouldn't get better performance. Seriously. GO see whAt the comparable specs are for ACTUAL performance parity. But for couch based gaming, ps5 is the way to go. Why not both? The 1080 still slays, and your 1700x shouldn't be holding you back that much at all. Oh. One more thing. Go watch the hardware unboxed stuff, as well as the tech Jesus (gamers nexus?) Stuff on gpu and "basic" CPUs. Also Linus recently did an Xbox series x build comparison recently. See the actual specs they came out with.
  16. Correct up to this point. Insure your bike for the amount it will cost, for the new replacement model. It's covered under home contents, which is the same way (you insure a product, regardless of its value, for the amount you'd need to replace it with the currently and widely available new model of that item) Motor vehicles are different. If you insure for UNDER the retail replacement value, then you'll have problems unless you have a contract / policy with one of the larger insurers that don't "average" claims, unless there's a full loss. Averaging example: You buy your TCR for 15k The wheels are worth (new) 20k You insure it for 15k It costs 60k to replace with the current model You break your wheels (or Rd, shifter etc etc) Wheel replacement claim is 15k. But bike is insured at 25% of replacement cost So wheel claim = 20k x 25% = 5000 paid, minus excess.
  17. What a coward... Sorry, this just smacks of insecurity. IMO
