  1. Dude, yeah. And on top of that, the lyrical depth of metal is orders of magnitude higher than generic pop and rap. As is proper hip hop (not this mumble rap kaaaaak)
  2. Dude, yeah! Jeeeeez the energy was off the charts. Saw them at V Festival in the UK back in the early 2000's. Honestly one of my favourite bands of all time.
  3. Listen to his music from the perspective of someone with clinical depression... I looked back on all their music and had the epiphany. It all just made so much more sense.
  4. Do yourself a favour and listen to the words. And then all the different methods they (LP) have used over the years. And then listen to some of Chester's normal singing... But yes, it's actually music. Good music...
  5. Yup. Buying a six pack is often easier than having a deep dive into your own psyche. It's an escape from the mundane, a distraction from the voices and a short-term antidote to the stresses at work / home. The binge allows an escape, at the expense of self-awareness.
  6. dude, this may sound strange but don't discount the psychological effects the lockdown may be having on you, and that definitely affects the training regimen.
  7. https://bikenetwork.co.za/dr-mike-posthumus-on-luke-moirs-lockdown-conditioning-program Lekker article on Luke Moir's quarantine training regimen
  8. HRM isn't sending data either. Tried with both my edge 25 and my fenix 3.
  9. Rad. I rode past a ME sign yesterday and wondered, given the love you obviously have for your nephew.
  10. hahaha I haven't been strava-ing or garmining since the lockdown started, 'cos my flippin sensors aren't working. As for the whats, was just trying to inject a bit of humour... I'm on the 2nd week of the 7 weeks to 100 pushups challenge, too. It's tough, but lekker.
  11. Is it just me that looks at those, and then thinks that's just begging for some HotWheels?
  12. I'm up by an average of 15 whats per day, due to the increased idiocy some seem hell bent on pushing. Just.... what?!
  13. Yeah, I understand that completely. It's just that this is another reason on top of the alcohol-related morbidity. If people behaved, I'm sure the alcohol ban wouldn't have happened. But people don't behave, and really don't behave when there's alcohol involved. I've only had 2 glasses of wine and a shot of rum since the beginning of March. Wine was a pre-lockdown celebration with family, and rum was on the eve that my kitteh decided to be super curious and fell to her death while my son was watching me try to save her, so the ban isn't really affecting me.
  14. Yep. I rode past a roadblock yesterday, plakkies, baggies, hempie and backpack. Greeted all the cops (there were about 7 or 8 of them) and they were extremely friendly. No questions whatsoever. I needed to go to a shop that was slightly further away than my normal one, but no issues at all. The Shutdown Shuttle is wonderful. It's truly surreal riding along the roads / pavements and seeing just how deserted the roads are.
  15. This is why we can't have alcohol. Anyway. Totally OT, Chris, but are you Maritz Electrical?
  16. This. You'll find the total width of the links at the widest point is slightly narrower the more cogs are on the back. It's just that total width that changes, the internal width of the links stays the same across most "speeds" of chain.
  17. Yup. Thanks DJR, that's what I'm planning to do. He's with his mom now so back with my doggo. Will be talking to him during this week anyway so he can talk to me if he wants to.
  18. Thanks guys. Massive blow to the gut. My heart broke when I brought her through the front door and Mikey asked if she was okay. Not the way I'd hoped to end the Easter weekend with him.
  19. This beautiful girl passed away unexpectedly last night. She managed to get out the window and was walking along the exterior windowsill of my 5th storey flat. My son saw her walking past him while he was watching telly and told me asap and I tried to get her to come to the easiest window to get back in, but she decided to try turning around on the ledge and slipped. I'd only had her for 18 months, after saving her from a family that were going to put her down instead of taking her with to Malawi. I'm broken, and my son is distraught. We both heard the impact. She was dead by the time I got to her. RIP Arya. Your annoyingly high affection and beautiful demeanour will be missed.
  20. Naah. If they wanna get in they'll get in. Only if there were no back cover in place or if you're in full-load-mode would there be any visibility into the boot anyway.
  21. Now this gives me yard-envy. Jeepers, DL. Love the setting.
  22. Same! Yeah, their presence here locally though is a bit sparse. Do you know who imports it?
  23. It's brand new, so feedback is likely to be only in the form of reviews, for now. Summit bikes seems to have some of their stuff on their website, give them a shout and see if they can organise. Otherwise, check out jensonusa / bike24 and other online retailers.
