  1. Not any more. Genius now has the same basic shape as the Spark. Just the linkages that change, really. Longer linkage makes for longer "stroke" as opposed to the SPARK
  2. Not really. No benefit other than weight and aesthetics. 520's are black and silver, 540's ust silver. In this case, the benefit is that the guy already has te 540's
  3. Ag, man! Shoe! Go drink a laced drink or something. Just don't tread here again!
  4. Stick with the 540's, bud... they are super awesome pedals, and you can't beat them for the price. Anything lighter is just going to be, well, lighter. May as well just drill a few holes in the cage if you're worried about weight.
  5. lekker, Halfnutz... shot for the info! Pity the same thing can't be said for caps. You have no idea how hard it is for me to find one that fits.
  6. clothing and clothing. I think it's 30% on helmuts and 40% on clothing (ex vat) but I could be wrong. Remember, VAT is added on top of the total amount after duties, not the gross amount.
  7. of unethical and immoral conduct, and the pursuit of witchiz and wizzzzzzardz?
  8. I think the Crap Brothers tag came out in conjunction with the first (and subsequent) Joplins. They have a penchant for failing, repeatedly. Blown seals, leaking posts, (excessive) play in the posts and so on. They may or may not have sorted the issues out, but insofar as the tagline goes, that's the product that pretty much screwed them over ito image. Saying that, I would like a pair of mallets for my bikes.
  9. As a result of the longer travel, maybe? Remember... Geo is the same on both (i think i remember reding that)
  10. Yeah. It's a looker alright. Really clean & simple.
  11. Sorry bro, but no. Had to bring one in for my bike as well.
  12. ROFL. Thanks for that, KP. That was the source of my laugh for the eve... ROFL
  13. you could just have them built up. Normal rear hub, longer spokes and then the hoop.
  14. I think it's the right way to go, personally. Bold move.
  15. Looks good! I love the clean, simple look of the 1x setup at the front. Just looks so much better..
  16. yeah, extra clearance at the bb. Helps dramatically when it comes to clearing logs and rocks on my xc bike. A normal "big blade" has between 38 and 44 teeth. My single front ring is a 32 tooth. In terms of sizing, the 32 gives me approx 40mm extra clearance when comparing to a normal 2x or 3x setup. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it is... And yeah. I hadn't used my granny for 6 months prior to taking it off anyway. So it's not as if I was using it anyway. Also wasn't really using the big ring, unless you count riding on the road (which I find boring)
  17. Adding to TNT's reasons... Extra clearance for the technical stuff; extra training cos I'm now forced to use one ring on the front and don't have a granny option anymore; cleaner bars and just plain simpler.
  18. the problem with that is that the USADA have said that Lance needs to prove his innocence in order to refute the charges against him. Kinda hard to do that by keeping quiet...
  19. Wasn't Slipstream's whole reason for existing to be able to prove that you can compete dope-free, and to be totally transparent up front, with all of their training / recruiting etc? Smacks of yet another team being willfully ignorant, and not sticking to their "values" (I use the term loosely in this regard)
  20. Yeah, that bit can be a bit tricky... How's he doin?
  21. ROFL. Back to topic - Sliverback man - Naughty naughty pseudo dyslexic wannabe person thing!
