  3. Hi all, Ok so Iron and I are partners for the epic. I rode the berg and bush this weekend, I finished day 1 in 8h47. was so shattered that I struggled for the 2 next days! I ended up pushing most hills, never realised how much a 1000m of climbing was!! I really busted my arse training for this event and thought i was feeling really good going into it. Can someone explain intervals? What sort of hours per week would one need to be doing to complete epic? work allows about 2 hours per week, over weekends I can do one 2 hour ride. Thanks for the help and advice guys. Mike
  4. I really enjoyed the race, did the 70, and the single track was awesome!!! pushed a bit too hard in the beginning and paid for it later, but total blast of a day Mike

  10. Hey Guys, What a total blast of a weekend!!! One of the best stage races in SA! Loved every part of the routes. especially the single tracks and the bush tunnels. We (Iron as partner for sure) will be back in force for next year! Mike

  17. How fit are you? I get knee pain under my knee cap if I have a long lay off. after i get some strength back the pain disappears completely Also, you using same seat? at same angle? Q factor of cranks??? Basiclly is your setup identical? seat to pedals (height) and front/back / tilt? Q factor of cranks seat height to handlebar height Mike
