  1. Awesome..... Good luck to you both.... you never loose class.......
  2. Chunky.... thanks, yes i had heard that, but David was very 'mum' about his signing. Would be great if he got a overseas ride, as KM is really not his goal I am sure. Those youngsters will learn a lot from the 'oldies'.... can only be good for their cycling. Will keep a watch on them with a careful eye!!!!!!! What R U Doing????........ Would love to see you back on Track.... maybe I will start watching again......

  4. Maties sounds good, all very nice guys, and talanted too. I know that KM have signed a 'liberty rider' as it is a new ruling for Registered teams to have PDI included. Harmony are going big by the sounds of it........
  5. Will CSC base in CT or Jhb...... heard that they were splitting the Team between the two.... not much sense in that. Quite an awesome Team..... a little suprised that Jeremy has signed for them..... Cycling just got a little more interesting here in the Cape. Austin.... greetings. How are you and trust all is going well with preparations for the Team this year. Will watch out for you.
  6. Titus Ti..... I will organise a 112 km race at Killarney...... full road closure, no hassle, no centre line, and minimal costs. R20.00 entry.
  7. Here's to a speedy recovery. take care.
  8. This was not a UCI/Licenced event persay...... as Elites/Vets and sundry rode together, therefore classed as a fun ride. Commm cannot really apply rules, only 'observe safety regulations'. Road rules apply no matter, and what if any of these guys got hit by an on comming car?????? Who would be held responsible? One cannot control the entire race, or each and every person. These photos speak for themselves. Racing needs to be more organised, as in Jhb. Licenced categories no matter what the event, then the fun ride. There is no other way to control it. Well done MW for bringing it to the forum and hopefully that of the organisers.
  9. Cycle Lab.... great work, we (DE-al) are doing one at Killarney Race Track this Wednesday evening, but a little different in concept. However, the children still win, as all toys go to them, and the animals get the R20.00 entry fee...... in exchange for R4000.00 prize money for the 'race'. Will post pictures on Thursday. (Hopefully) Well done to all the CylceLab cyclists and Ian J..... what a kind heart....
  10. Sven, R I P and may you continue to always shine. Condolences to your Mom, Family, Relations and friends. A great loss to cycling, and the Cape. Regards Sharon
  11. Butafly..... apologies, I read as if RK were sucking sponsor dry...... yeah now read what you are saying. (just a little protective) Recon on 500K to have a GOOD compertitive team, with a 'basic' allowance, so that they can train and travel, without work commitments. Local Team about 50K i am sure, from the experience I have had. (Friends? )
  12. Moolies and RK have deserved every cent spend on them, and if in your opinion Butafly, they sucked the sponsor dry.... that's between them, but actually learn the facts first....... a bit harsh. Moolies and John O have done wonders for 'racing' here in the Cape, and thanks to them, and Willie, I have a son in Jhb racing Pro Team...... he also was in those teams with Moolies and I am not aware of ever being 'sucking' the sponsor, other way around... we paid our way, thats way they are still getting sponosors, as they will again next year. Moolies will be awesome in the SV.... Good competition for him... just doestn;t want to 'grow old'
  13. Token, why you so against RK... surprises me?? They are a good team, and hopefully will soon wrap up a new sponsor. We need teams in the Cape, and the more the Merrier. Hannachi would beat any team on his own,,,, just sheer class. Token... when you coming to Killarney?????????
  14. My money is on KM....... they will be a force to be reckoned with, just need to get to know each others styles, and tactics. Trust the whole team... men and ladies will compete in Europe again...... Good luck to you all for 2007.
  15. Condolences to his family.... never nice to hear, and especially at this time of year. Rest in peace, and enjoy your pedalling days with all our other departed fellow friends.
  16. OKie Dokes.... can't have that happening to you.... thanks. Great ride last night... you lasted past half way, take more 'drugs' next week////////
  17. Good news about Jamie.... a talented rider.... looks like the old HSBC team back.,.... awesome..... who is their manager???? Colonel u know?
  18. Well Done Jay...... You got my approval
  19. I put my money on Carinus being the new manager of Harmony?
  20. Good to see another new name in competition..... Good luck to you all.
  21. WW.... Sunday Crit on the Track in winter?????/ No Trafic Levy.Keen?
  22. Couldn't agree with you more Old Dog, MS seems to be the only Team in the SC Camp.... same thing happened at Liberty Crit.... but what satisfaction for Minolta, the underdog Team to pull the win, followed in order of appearance in the break by Excel and BW.... VIVA Minolta...... (Not at all biased....) I see that even you are confused.... it was MARTIN and not Peter in the Break.... and even long after the win, they, including P&P were saying Peter, oh well, at least we saw it live. Would like to say how much better the TV coverage was for AmaShova. No Breaks, or back to the studio, and no rubbish in between, but commentry was rather poor. Thanks never the less, for bring cycling home to us today, and may Minolta have a great celebration, and good luck to the Velits Twins in their move up the ladder next year.... I will be watching out for you. Yolandi..... WOW..... you really put the SA Ladies to shame. I would have stopped the race, and given them a talking too about racing.... surely they should be racing... Cut the price Money, and then we will see some action. I think Proline's Managers comment was rather bad for a Pro Team.... we are not doing the chasing.... so why the hell are you racing, sorry riding? Ladies, you need to go overseas and toughen up. I take a bow to you John R.... a tough year, well managed, and a fantastic end to 2006. (T hope you are feeling better.... proud of you my boyx)
  23. Really very sad. It was on the radio at 7.30,,, but mentioned a cyclist had been knocked down. Thoughts with the family and friends.
  24. This is really sad news. Just Wednesday evening I was chatting to Dad... asking about Kenneths recovery from his broken Collarbone.... to read this today.... Kenneth, get well soon, and you have many more very' talanted' years ahead in the cycling world, so take time to recover fully, and then aim high again. Guess I must say " C U at Killarney NEXT Year...... Get well, and all the Best to you, and your supportive family.
  25. But at least he gives it his all.......
