  1. don't take me seriously dude. I don't care what they ride, I just don't understand it. I understand gravel bikes on gravel roads - that makes sense. But on those jeep tracks - I don't get it. The more people on the mountain the better - from a safety perspective. They can ride 1978 choppers for all I care.
  2. Plum Pudding? Probably the Epic guys complaining it's too technical. I seriously hope not. One of the few bits of proper single track on the mountain
  3. Do you have a hipster beard? no! Please no tar! Rather sort out the dodge sections. That would benefit more people.
  4. 99% of them are bearded hipsters. definitely not from Jo'burg
  5. I see okes coming down from the Blockhouse on Table Mountain (for the up-country guys, it's a high speed rocky jeep track) on Gravel Bikes, getting the sht shaken out of them, and I think to myself "why?"
  6. Wet day on the mountain. But absolutely stunning out there
  7. that is min. With the cold front that just passed (is passing) Cape Town, I hope he has some warm kit there somewhere.
  8. why would they replace his frame if it was a brake issue?
  9. what really bothers me in this thread is 'baught'. the rest is meh.

  11. Breaking Bad is probably the best series I have watched, followed closely by Narcos and Narcos Mexico. Other series which could easily be in my top 3 are: The Spy (based on a true story) Fauda Ozark (S1 and S2 - S3 starting getting a bit of too much)
  12. fully with you on all points. fashion shmashion.
  13. busy watching it at the moment - on Ep.5. really enjoying it. Dark and brooding and that's just the landscape. Also the Icelanders have the best 4x4 vehicles - Hiluxsemoer.

  19. if you okes want to stream some decent rock type music try Brian FM from New Zealand. I discovered it while travelling there about 3 years ago. I listen to it now via Radio Garden http://radio.garden/listen/brian-fm-marlborough/Y8cJQcxw They some decent rock including some non mainstream stuff. Also virtually no ads.
  20. Never claimed it as a right. It's a privilege. Was just explaining my thought process - as in walker vs riders. Anyway I haven't done it in years because I cant ride early weekdays anymore. I withdraw all comments regarding riding up trails. Cheers
  21. calm down dude. We make sure we keep a lookout way ahead. And as I said - early weekdays only. We have never encountered someone coming down. Also people walk up the downhill sections all the time to session various sections. What's the difference?
  22. are Fad - I mean Fat Bikes still a thing?
  23. not sure when it was done. Yesterday was the first time I've been up there in about a month. Yes was always a good good lung buster
  24. if you want some technical climbing, go ride early weekday mornings and ride up Cheeky Corners or up Revised or up etc. But please keep a lookout far ahead for early bird pinners coming down.
