  2. okes get too technical. It's pretty simple. If you're tired, you're going uphill. If you're having fun, you're going downhill. Otherwise just follow the oke in front of you - unless you're near the bar, then take no prisoners and get to the front ASAP.
  3. love that area of the Cederberg. There's a guy in Brugkraal worth staying over at. Provides a bed and home cooked food. Name is Ewald. Can sleep up to 8 people if anyone wants to do a trip with mates. Down to earth folk who could do with our ronts

  7. pfft facts. who needs them? Look I've spent a lot of time in the ocean - diving, surfing, windsurfing, etc. But there's something about Fish Hoek.... Maybe it was that lady who got chowed completely - never found even a bit of her.

  10. well I'm not a pro, so I drink what I want when I want. Recovery is something I do the morning after a few too many beers

  13. best way to avoid tummy bugs in general is to live your life a bit 'dirty'. Don't stress too much about food that has expired (obviously not rotten food). Get some dirt on your hands - and in your mouth occasionally. etc etc

  19. agreed. A bicycle certainly takes you places you would otherwise never get to - even by motorcycle. You just have to get out of your comfort zone and head out into the wild places. Places no stage race will ever take you. (well except maybe RASA, but I'm not sure that can be classified a stage race)
