I like CWC. I think they cut out the middleman who takes some of the LBS revenue, I think they get us much better prices than we would otherwise, they bring competition and competitive prices throughout the bike industry. As for what oom Chris said, think the pot boiled over somewhat. But I do agree with him to an extent. Was in a shop the other day and just mentioned that CWC is selling item x at much less, and the owner got all cheeky and told me ja but if I factor in petrol to cwc I might as well pay that 30% or whatever more. The bike shops don't like cwc, Yes they don't work through the normal channels but that is no reason why they should paint cwc black. Rather base your business on good advice and servicing of bikes. But most of them can't even do that and then they expect loyalty. As the saying goes, if you want loyalty get a dog. PS: If you went into that same bike shop and took of a set of eastons from his shelf, and asked him what he thought he would have said they are the best wheels out there...
  3. Would without a doubt go for this http://www.fortheriders.com.au/niner-emd9-2012-frame
  4. Will only fall onto deaf ears but my vote goes towards road safety and awareness. Something like the pedestrian warning road signs.

    Both will carry any rider.

Go for the EA70's. Those are strong wheels and they are not that much heavier than the ea90's. Don't think the EA90's are worth twice as much.
  7. Do you guys have so little respect not only for a human and father but a fellow cyclist. If you guys want to act like children go do it on the playground. We don't want to know how big your dicks are. //Rant off// Glad they caught the guy, now just holding thumbs that the law will take it's course and justice to be served. If he gets a bigger arsehole by the end of his sentence than that is for the better as well.
  8. BogusOne dink jy moet maar weer daardie wiele van jou post...
  9. En jou shin
  10. Not criticizing or judging you, I too think he was in the wrong here, he put you in danger and he was in the wrong side and should have let you past. Just tired of this debate cause theres a grey area for me. If you want to cycle on the wrong side then you have to move over for oncoming traffic including pedestrians and cyclists. But obviously some people don't give that courtesy.
  11. Two views on this matter, has been discussed before so lets drop it now. As mentioned we can't even get along with one another.
  12. They just jealous! I dig the sidi's. Looks like a lekke xtc as well.
  13. On a side not, I can't take the speeding vehicles while out riding!
  14. Would like to see someone with a conti raceking front tire swerving out when going downhill.
  15. Geen taxi sal jou raak ry met daai skoene nie !
  16. Sound more like a bad wheelbuilder, using alu nipples in a wheelbuild is just darf. My crests are not that flexy, you can feel they aren't mavic rims but I barely notice it, running the tires too low will feel far worse.
  17. Glad you mentioned wide. Read a few tire reviews and the guy always says they work better on wider rims. How does a wide rim differ from a thin rim?
  18. He is a +-82 kg agressive rider, I hope he buys those am classics with a life insurance bundle .
  19. Are those am classics good for heavier riding? Heard they are softer than crests?
  20. I would go for ztr arch rims, dt competition spokes and hope hubs. Custom built. Strong reliable and the lighest wheelset for your weight. If you really want to drop that R7000 go Chris king hubs. Ps: I am no expert by any means.
  21. Solid advice helpmytrap, googled for a while now and everyone seem to have their own settings so this is the best post I found. How to set up your fork: 1.) Empty both air chambers starting with the (+). 2.) Fill the (+) chamber to 90psi (good rule of thumb is 60% your weight in pounds) and push down on the fork a few times as hard as you can. You should come damn close to bottom out the fork. Inflate or deflate the (+) accordingly. 3.) inflate the (-), 5-10 psi more than positive gives a plusher ride and vice versa, inflate to you liking. Myth Busted: When using a proper pump no air will escape so don't over inflate thinking 10psi will escape, the bit of air you hear when you unscrew the pump is just a bit of air still in the pump. Good luck to everyone still struggling to get a nice fork pressure!
  22. We are being taken for a ride with these prices !
  23. Vanilla bean gu comes damn close!
