  6. I have no idea if people meet up at the Riverside Shopping Centre unfortunately? I'm just riding to Fratelli's from work (in Rivonia). Also, I won't be heading back that way after the ride as I live closer to Fratelli's. You're welcome to tag in on the ride up to Fratelli's this afternoon.

  17. Well it's a cutting tool of sorts, so when your Scott frame finally cracks we can cut that up
  18. Not very long. When I told the guy I was riding with that I won the track stand comp, his response was "but you can't even track stand!!!" That said I did beat a world champion SS'r, but she was on super skinny tires, but a world champ non-the-less. Feather in cap!
  19. Ja, cool event. Thanks to all the organizers & the route setter. It seems like organizing anything these days you have to prep yourself for an onslaught of criticism after the event... but such is life. Managed 12 laps and lost my rear brake on my last lap (not that you needed brakes much). The real feather in my cap was taking the slow race victory . Got me a sweet Bosch power tool. I like!
  20. My brother used Ijinji socks when he did the Badwater Ultra and his feet did very well over the +36hrs he was in his running shoes. Whether or not it was the sock made a huge difference can be debated, but his feet did very well considering. Like most bits n pieces, some people swear by them and others say they cause more issues than they are worth. It all comes down to personal preference and using the product prior to big events.
  21. Awesome! http://vimeo.com/54435407
  22. How to ride DH like a girl, on a hardtail...
  23. It the clay was sticking, chances are the soil was too wet. Make sure the plate is clean and free of any major nicks or dents as this will pick up more material. You can also sprinkle a layer of dry dirt over the the moist soil and compact on that as it prevents the clay from clinging onto the plate. That said depending on the clay content and moisture of the clay,a plate compactor on a highly clayey soil would be relatively ineffective. The energy won't go into moving the soil particles closer together as the pore water pressure won't have time to dissipate.
  24. There are a couple pictures on PinkBike. Who took the top spot?
  25. With SomeBloke riding this bike, I can tell you that the bike is VERY robust.
