  1. Cois, the first pic is a Windows XP background
  2. Racer X, the I-Links go for about R475 a set. So basically 1K for both the brake and gearing cables... If I can remember correctly I think the Nokon was going for or between R550 - R600 a set, not 100% sure. Jason2007-12-26 04:55:29
  3. Thanks auntie, hope your day was a good one... I know I had a good one... my pants? I had to loosen them after lunch
  4. Jason

    no helmet

Forget helmets people... Lets all wear our Christmas hats and have a Merry Christmas... Ho ho ho...
  5. I have the I-Links... Apparently they lighter, a bit cheaper and shift much better than the Nokon. I've never ridden with the Nokon but I can tell you the I-Links shift pretty sweet and they look pretty cool as well...
  6. What a weekend Not once did my data drop... Power was reading all the time! Even on the roughest of surfaces! Roubaix style. Looks like the battery change, re-cabling and cushion did the job Now to try and get that power to 100W and keep it there for lets just say 2 minutes for now
  7. Couldn't agree more... I do it for my mum and my son! He loves it and so do the other kids and parents when they walk past.
  8. So with Christmas just round the corner, what does your house look like? This is my mums place... Nothing better than doing a 6 hour ride and the getting a call from your mum asking if you're busy? Um... not really just recoverying, why? Can you please come do me a favour? Sure... few hours later and felt like I just did the TDF in one day Anyone else got pics?
  9. You must be another Moses in the making... Did that SRM stuff work?
  10. OK... So this morning I had a really good ride... The power meter was reading sweetly and everything was 100%. I replaced the batteries with the ones recommended in the troubleshooting guide, re-cabled my bike as shown in the posted pics and let the computer and receiver rest on "cushions" Not one second did it drop or lose signal! So, so far so good I'll give it a test over the weekend just to be 100% sure. Thanks to Adrian aka Dr. Watt for all the assistance and help! Appreciate it
  11. Yup I love that place... If I could get a job there I would be down there in a jiffy. Maybe I could become a car guard, cruise around with my Cervelo I'll give it some thought Jason2007-12-20 12:15:34
  12. Please don't give Pantani any idea's' date=' I see he's already posting pictures of men
  13. Skye Skye Skye... Pantani's waaay behind, the apartheid days are over... Whites no longer the ruler... It's all black .
  14. OK... Adrian aka Dr. Watt, I've replaced the batteries in the hub (With Silver Oxide one's)... Replaced the batteries in the computer and re-wired the cables... I've included some pics just to show you and if anything looks like it could use a tweak, let me know. As you can see in the pic below... The computer is resting on some sponge just to prevent that vibration. The wire runs along the top tube now instead of the down tube and under the BB Below we can see the sensor is postioned nicely... Approximately 4.5cm from the hub. Another view of the sensor and hub. If there's anything that looks dodgy just shout/scream/yell, I'm all ears. I've tested it and everything looks OK. Will be on the road tomorrow and hopefully everything is hunky dory but I'll let you know if there's any issues. Thanks for all the help and suggestions!
  15. I've been having troubles with my powertap while riding on the road. It works intially but then after about 10 minutes it loses signal, so I get no readings and then after a couple of minutes (10 -15) the reading is back? I had the problem yesterday and then had to come home and get on the indoor trainer which I really hate! It worked for the full hour, no problems. Today at Kyalami, it gave me problems again... lost signal for 10 minutes and then worked for the next 1h:30 minutes... What is it? Batteries? Faulty hub? Faulty computer? Or just a lack of power? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
