If you want quiet tar, ride from Notties out along the Lotheni road. Watch out for potholes but a scenic ride with little traffic.

There is nothing commercially available that works like you see on underwater cameras when they go from below to above the water and the water just slides off. That said there are some coatings on prescription lenses that almost do that (Zeiss Lotutec and Essilor Crizal A2 for example). However, nothing available that can be sprayed on that's perfect

Can't comment on the pacemaker and riding, but with atrial fibrillation you'll be on warfarin. Bit of a problem if you come off your MTB as regards internal bleeding. Speak with your physician about that. Good luck

Medical aids (an oxymoron?) are businesses in the main there to make a profit. That dictates they pay out less than they take in. They do rely on healthy members to subsidise the sick / decrepit, and that's what a lot of the fuss is about wrt the proposed NHI.

These dongles are a PITA, but great when they work. Try rebooting your PC with the dongle already attached. Sometimes mine does that and then works fine on rebooting, however I get a blue screen when removing the dongle so have to switch off before doing so
