  1. Eish, then what about shoes, helmet, gloves, shorts etc? That on its own is about R2.5K if going budget.
  2. Do those who work in a lingerie shop get hands-on experience?
  3. Do we smoke whom? Roadies? On the technical stuff for sure. Most roadies smoke me on the dirt road sections. They just blow me away (let's not get smoke and blow mixed up now, let's play nicely).
  4. Moegoe is the only Hubber who ever talks sense.
  5. Stick with Prozac
  6. I reckon you'll be a LOT lighter after paying for the new XTR. Well, your wallet will be anyway.
  7. Brasso will NOT remove scratches, only scratch them more (I'm in the trade, I know!). But please, try Brasso and find out
  8. Your lenses are stuffed. Unfortunately scratches cannot be removed from lenses, and that's a fact.
  9. Something to consider: if it's feasible change to a smaller chainring in front, that will allow a smaller cog at the back, effectively lifting the lowest jockey wheel and clearing the grass better. Whilst no bullet-proof it has helped me on several grassy sections.
  10. They are Ghanas!
  11. Maybe it's an irrational, unfounded fear but I always run tubeless on the front and sometimes, non-tubeless tubeless at the back. My concern is that a non-tubeless, if it punctures will result in a sudden loss of control (I'm no Burry Stander) and on a downhill won't be pretty. A UST tyre will stay on the rim, a non-tubeless may not.
  12. It's like EX and SEX. It's amazing what a diference one letter can make (sorry, I know that's not helpful at all).
  13. Who knew nothing wood come of this
  14. Yebo!!! Eish!!!! (and that I'm afraid to say is the extent of my Zulu)
  15. Jeez, I'm looking forward to this afternoon. Have arranged Nandos and with my wives we'll have a feast. Blue nipples aside, the Nandos will spice things up and with the crates of Klippies scored from the last tender the SWC will pass in a blur. Go Bafana!!!!!
  16. This guy is no longer on the Hub. He moved to the UK as far as I know so pointless naming him now.
  17. Got scammed by a previous hubber with a high-ish post count. Lost R2500. Other deals have gone through no problem.
  18. That's definitely my experience with my stupid bike!
  19. Chicken run = Twinkletoes Route Bull run = Yeeeehaaa (or Eina) RouteTaps2010-05-28 05:57:00
  20. Event organisers need to ensure longer and shorter race riders don't meet up on the same section of singletrack. At Wartburg for example adjacent but separate sections of singletrack were created, one for the longer ride and one for the slower guys. Worked perfectly. I understand your frustration though, gets my goat too!
  21. Looks like you'll make a good Father Christmas.
  22. You poor okes, having to ride surrounded by cars and roads. We (well those of us in Hilton / Howick) are extremely fortunate with our riding, no cars to be seen for miles, and it's very quiet. Lots of buck, porcupines, puffys, warthog etc. Join us when you can
  23. Yay, someone outside KZN has seen the light, well done. If only those Gautengalengs would wake up too (the administrators that is) and use ROAG. (I have no financial interest or otherwise in ROAG).
  24. Being positive in SA isn't always a good thing. I'm proud to say I'm (HIV) NEGATIVE!!
  25. If you get electrocuted are you positive or negative?
