Recently did a Tour in Italy which included a TTT. The last three teams had fun riding over the thumb tacks that suddenly found their way onto the road.. I think someone dislikes the 'Finauto' team.

It is happening a lot in Europe these days. Four races where I have been to have been hit and at least 6 more that I can think of without trying really hard. Seems like it has become a buisiness.

I competed in the u23 World Champs two years ago. Am not allowed to start in the Elite champs cause Nam is rock bottom on the rankings (although I am allowed to do the Elite TT for some or other reason..). Silver would be rather nice. haha

Preferably only when racing (unless you have enough money to throw out the window). Unless they weigh a ton and you dont weigh 50kg's use them in any race. To heavy (the wheels), then dont use in 'climbing races' (are there any in SA?). To light (you) and you will struggle handling them in the wind. Aero advantage is usually better than a weight advantage.

After a TT your body is full of lactate which means that you were producing more than you could get rid of ie. you were over your LT. All of these tests are very good and help you planning things, but you also have to know what to do with the results, doesnt help getting them and then not knowing what to do with them.
