Spent Saturday stripping down, cleaning, polishing and rebuilding the Moser. Its has a Columbus SLX tubeset and is a Team issue frame, so top of the range in its day. I decided to keep the Shimano 600 Tricolour on it for now. The bike was bought new as a frame set only and the owner had the bike shop build it with 600. So I decided to keep it as originally purchased. A few small chips on the paint, but otherwise in superb condition, even the chrome is amazing considering its age and living along the Durban coastline.

Slide hammer will take it out. I got an old Campag aero seat post out of a 20 old year old Tommasini a while ago. Have done it many times, always works. When you put it back, use copper slip it will save you this hassle down the line. Alu on Alu is a terrible combination, specially along the coastline. Copper slip on everything.

The Superb Pro groupset that is for sale would work nicely on this frame too. I know its not Campag, but its was such a brilliant groupset in its day. Just another option if you like.

Got this over the weekend, agreed on a price with the seller last night (who happens to be a guy I know very well). It was his fathers bike and he bought it new and spec'd it with Shimano 600 7 Speed. I have a Campag C-Record groupset with Delta's that i think may look very nice on this frame. Frame is in amazing condition, 2 or 3 paint chips and the chrome is in outstanding condition. Pictures not the greatest, will post once I have stripped and cleaned it all up.

Cheapest would be to let some air out of the tyre so that it can "nest" in the wheel holder. Only down side is you have to inflate your wheels every time you take the bike off the rack.

That would be good marketing for sure. The first versions like the ones I have had the issue with the velcro. I also have re-glued mine a few time... just saying

These work very well. I bought a set ages ago from CWC and use them on my Thule hanging rack for my kids bikes. Much better than a pool noodle and they dont get lost in transit somewhere along the freeway. I find most racks bikes sit very close, this way I know non of the bikes will rub against each other. Im very happy with how they work, just my 2 cents.

My new addition. Needs a solid strip, clean and polish. It has ergo's on at the moment but I have the original record brake levers. Will put them on once cleaned and rebuilt.

I need those bars and stem and some fiemme rims and I can complete my Cinelli special corsa track bike. Damn stunning looking piece of art.

What makes you think it's a de Rosa?That little heart shaped lug is there to stop the gear shifter clamp from sliding down the frame when there is tension on the cables.

Bill Lange only made custom frames. He never made production frames. So every Delange you ever come across will have been made for a specific person. This is what makes them so great... Hence Bill only ever making around 200. All bespoke made to order.

That bike is a keeper. Bill Lange made about 200 custom, bespoke frames. The frames that you will find will more often than not be very large frames or very small. He is considered one of SA's best frame builders. The one LooseCog gave me is made from Reynolds 653 tubing. The name De'Lange is a play on words. It's actually a name of a Col in France, the Col de Lange (say with French accent). The meaning of the word (loosely translated) means mountain of angels,or something to that effect. If you look closely at the logo/crest headbadge you will see it looks like an angel. Angel wings and a chainring as a halo. The legendary Ron Thompson was involved with Bill and came up with the logo/badge and the name del'ange. I bought a set of original decals from Ron a whole ago. I now need to restore the frame.

Just received my wheel truing stand. Not bad at all for R765.00 Perfect for home use and its nice and light and compact.
