  1. I've just heated up the popcorn and got comfy on the couch in preparation for the great 29er vs 650b debate...
  2. And Garmin Sharp only have 4 riders left.
  3. Yes this stage/finish suits Quintana perfectly, but I'm going to go against the easy bet and say that ahead of the TT, Aru will try make up for his lack of time trailing ability and go for victory/time today.
  4. It actually looks like a Chinese knock off of a BMC!
  5. Guys I can't help but think "its a fake" everytime I see a Pinarello...
  6. Agreed and agreed!
  7. Well then, I'm just going to stop with my GC predictions. Damn what a performance from Quintana and Ryder. Such a great pity that Ryder lost bags of time with the team crash in the TTT as he is looking on great form.
  8. I'd definitely go with a Garmin and not only have a better display option, but also not need to worry about the rubbish smartphone battery life while using GPS. As someone has already mentioned, Garmin Edge 200 if you don't want to use a heart rate monitor and cadence sensor, otherwise the Edge 500 is great value for money. I bought mine from Fittrack.co.za and their prices are very competitive. Also use the price compare site PriceCheck.co.za.
  9. It would be nice for him to get the time back and give us a grandstand finish to the tour...
  10. With the hilly TT to come, I don't see anyone but Uran winning this years Tour. Cuddles looked broken after yesterdays final climb and Quintana is probably just a little too far back.
  11. Agreed, very nice event for a good cause. Despite the cold there appeared to be a great turnout as well.
  12. The OP does sound like a major rip off... Just Saying.
  13. I don't think there have been SMS's for this race.
  14. Do you ride a "Pinarello" by any chance
  15. Give them stick! Then do the 94.7 on your MTB just for the fun of it.
  16. Chinese specials?
  17. I think there is another thread with a whole lot of information on this topic. Personally, I wouldn't touch any of these telephone insurance companies like Outsurance. Yeah M&F are brilliant!
  18. I'm not sure whether you are talking about MTB or road races, however I know of many people who have never raced in their life and with a bit of training have gone on to "debut" at the 94.7, finishing it while having a great time as well. Just enter and do it!
  19. I did say from the start of the tour that Evans would beat Quintana in this particular TT... HOWEVER, Uran beaten them both, I would never have gone with! A strange TT for sure but fantastic performance from the man who now wears pink and could well win this years Giro.
  20. Agreed ya. In Pro tour terms, the Argus would be considered a sprinters stage with only one Category 4 climb (Suikerbossie). Someone like Cavendish would win in a sprint finish.
  21. Well done guys, great work!
  22. This tour is becoming somewhat or a snore fest with another boring stage coming up today I fear.
  23. Yeah 105 is far superior to Tiagra. Coming from a 8 speed cassette, just make sure that your rear wheel hub can fit a 10/11 speed (or whichever size you are going with).
  24. What this guy said! First Accent from CWC or Sportsmans Warehouse is very good value for money. For a basic layer of cheap compression gear you can even have a look at Mr Price. Obviously it won't be thermal though and avoid their leg warmers which are pretty cr@p.
  25. Looks a great event, wish it was in Gauteng. All the best with this!
