    Coil Forks

Not sure what is meant by the best...but the rock shox tora is pretty tough , very heavy too! Cheap too, fox...expensive...wayy over priced.
  3. Me too.
  4. Speaking of the OLD XT hubs...knew a guy who sold he;s wheels having done 150 000 on a pair ...yikes
  5. I use a small shifter (because im lazy) then I just use maximum FORCE haha..YIP TRUE!
  6. parafin
  7. I personally would not ride carbon if I was anywhere close to 110kg. For wheels I would go the factory build mavic's. Just go on the mavic site and look at their various wheels .
  8. 600bucks to upgrade my recon to a reba...but thats from single air to double.....
  9. Not sure what guys are on about the VAT, I have ordered stuff from them and paid no VAT no duty no nothing!.... The facts I have is .... 34% duty on helmets shoes and frames the rest is duty and Vat free.

    Lights

For me the best 3 cheap lights are rav X 3 x optibar , plus minus 250 bucks then the princeton teck rebel eos 4mode, 500odd bucks then the BLT fire wire 4.0 , going for around 900 bucks Spending more than 1000 bucks on lights is really senseless I ride 60km/ hour using only lights that put out around 200 Lux
  11. Its time to move to the Karoo, there you can relax, a decent house cost you 200k and you dont have to ever lock your doors.
  12. I would save up and go Recon rather than tora, you wont save much in weight buying a tora and they still have the non Ti finish which lasts longer. If weight is not an issue and you just need more stiffness go tora , thats my 2 cents
  13. darn, the scrap metal dealers.
  14. I second a previous reply, your sales people will make or break your shop. I have found only two guys in all the WC shops friendly enough to be sales people the rest should'nt be in sales.. Heck! their dont even have people skills or smiley faces for that matter heheJPW#2009-09-13 07:21:32
  15. Hake, veggies and mash and KOO beans. No coffee unless its de-caf. Breakfast, - oats
  16. I think I own the best value for money light, BLT firewire 4 from....chainreaction, 800 bucks for a 4 watt LED which lasts 20 hours at max output, and its light too, i use it on and off road and up to 40km / hour it gives more than enough light. I pair it up with a Princeton tech eos rebel 4mode Led light, total cost R1300 . The Hope is over priced and it cuts out often when knocked. OK thats my 2 cents.
  17. Yip R295 to ride is Ok'ish, I think the Globel Fin nonsese kept the price lowish.
  18. Best value? Giant xtc alu, carbon,,,, swinnnnn. Ive tried most of the rest, wasted alotttt of money!
  19. I would go sram, rox and mavic. I also ride a TI bike, if they don't crack in the first month, they will last you a lifetime.
  20. buy a set and buy mavic if you can. american is also nice but a tad heavy for the price.
  21. I've had them all and like the spinning bike best, just make sure ur riding pos is the same as the roadbike
  22. Marks shop is great but the area! Yikes you can get mugged! Downtown Belville is no jokes!
  23. PHew my GT is 1000000 x more gangsta than that!
  24. yip the wife always gets the "better" bike haha
