Jason, Only a pleasure to help out the TCS boys, that little mr bean vehicle battled to carry all the wheels you guy's needed to stay in the race, hence our vehicle became the TCS support backup truck.

As a first time event, yes everthing did not go according to plan. Yes there were some incidents of stone throwing that crackled over race radio as the two PP's would say and taxi's etc on the route. Koos van Tonder was knocked down by a bakkie that first stopped and then pulled away again as he was in the intersection. The route itself with the laps was not bad and i think that should they get the road closure sorted the event can grow.

E-mail the the organiser, Cedar Vadek team car was with the vets and at that specific point mentioned we had all the juniors and vets together with there team cars, i waited for the cyclists to pass and then followed.

Well, the que was long so i took plan "B", got a exibithor card and walked in, waited in the que to collect my number for almost 30 min. Popped over to the vets line to be told that the team managers meeeting is at 16h00 on saturday, so i have to go again. Bought the girls some CC clothes and wondered through the rest, missed the Diadora girls. If you think the expo is a mess, wait for sunday and the new parking arrangements.

Our 1st tandem came from John, it gave us 11 years of delight and then we got our Ravo for R14k with FSA Carbon cranks, ultegra shifters and XT deraileur, upgraded wheels to Bontrager Tandem wheels. Joker, we got our tandem before the deed was done and have covered a further 15 years together.

Supporting the vets i have wheels, toolkits and other items in the team car. At the shova Andre T was in the chasing bunch for 3rd postition in the 35 - 39 cat and 10km from the end his chain broke, was able to help however we lost and he was able to finnish Will assist if possible especially in the licence cats
