  1. Now where is the pic i loaded?
  2. I have one of these lights.... They work a charm, and can be set to bright (which is REALLY bright) medium, low or strope. I use them when i go for early morning rides and they show the tar surface perfectly. Also rechargeable which is lekka and lasts about 4 hours on full charge on bright, and about 12 hours from a full charge on low (although low is still pretty good) So when you hit the mist, you can tone down the brighness and not have the mist reflect back at you
  3. I chomp down a jungle bar and a banana on longer rides but generally don't like the whole chewing thing whilst riding... makes me naar So as an alternative together with some solids on the ride i make a shake of Nutren which i carry with me... nice to drink, filling and does the job quite well.
  4. So since we're halfway down the July ladder.... how are these guys doing in opening the store?
  5. What an article.... what a man.... what a team!!! Awesome stuff.

  9. What a weekend of racing with A LOT of upsets... especially in the 1st stage with a bit of confusion with the bus in the finish line etc etc.... Today is gonna be interesting with a fair amount of climbing in the stage... I'm glad to see that Daryl Impey is keeping the SA flag high... well done boet
  10. Joined the group... Looking forward to this
  11. Check out the oke in the middle under the front mans arm trying to make a bee-line also to get a puff

  14. What a story...
  15. I've used the contents from my saddlebag more than once on our lovely SA roads, and most of the time i'm on my own when i get a flat. Couldn't give a rat about the look... at least i know i'll be getting home if the **** hits the fan. My back pockets are used for "pad kos" and stashing the arm warmers when they come off later on during the morning ride
  16. New to this, but very interested to play... I'll be sure to follow instructions on how to play and hopefully not c@ck it up :-)
  17. This is awesome news about the shop... I'll be sure to pop in!! And if the price and service is up to scratch, they may see me more than once or twice
  19. Rollers are a great way of training balance on the bike, cadence training and quite rightly work up a sweat quite quickly. Keeping focus is a must otherwise you will go for a drop to ground Combining rollers with an indoor turbo trainer and vary the two off is the perfect winter indoor training experience
  20. Hopefully around Greenstone.... close to home
  21. ITB you'll feel on the outside of your knee, on the side. And after a ride, it hursts like hell. Believe me I know.
  22. If I take the family... I park at Something Country.... nice play area for the kids and the wife can sit and have some coffee whilst i'm out on the road
  23. Could somebody please explain to me what the fundimental difference is between the: Giant Cyclotron Mag ii, and Tacx T2500 Booster There is quite a significant price difference so I was just wondering what makes the Tacx so much better.
  24. The earphone thing during races is not only because of people not hearing one another. I wanted to enter the comrades some years ago and read up about the T's&C's there, and pretty much the same principal applies. Not only can't you hear people or activities around you, but also that music gives a mental advantage over others. You have your favourite beat tune blarring in your ears... and all of a sudden you have this new blast of energy
