  1. unfortunately that sounds like the going rate.
  2. Run your shifters and brakes loose enough so that if they do hit the top tube they rotate upwards. This also works when you hit a tree as they then tilt down rather than braking.
  3. I wonder if bike changes are allowed? ie. start on a RD finish on a MTB.
  4. I would rather go from the border-post to the top and back.
  5. They are also on the hub.
  6. Sorry but I have some good and bad news. Yes the RS cable remote lockouts are interchangeable with some tweaking, but best stick to the stock one. Now the bad news, a new one is +-R1200.00
  7. Ride them hard and fast. That's what they were built for. If they do crack under normal use, this would be a warranty claim.
  8. GTs Rachael Atherton currently suffering from an infection whilst out in South Africa. Word is she will still race, let's hope she can put a solid run together tomorrow.
  9. maybe just a little. It was a laugh on the course walk when Pinkbike got the the new rock garden and there was silence then "oh got to get a shot of someone braking their headtube of hear".
  10. hahah. I was cooking:angry:
  11. Apart from Brendan (I can't pedal) Fairclough http://mpora.com/videos/AAdpzo7qrzf4
  12. http://dirtmountainb...are-we-set.html Have a read here, comparing the DH track to an enduro!!! read the comments on FB. Just because 1 or 2 guys manage to make down on trail bikes without killing themselves and you actually have to use your cranks and pedal all the keyboard warriors come out proclaiming the course is $hit. Now these guys think anyone can jump on their trail bike and go for a run down the track. I say come and try and if you make it down alive I will give you your due. 99.9% will bash their brains out and don't give a thought to, well maybe these guys are the best in the world for a reason, and Oh look my bike has Pedals and Cranks what the hell are those for? Pedaling. Well I only like going downhill and not having pedal. well then get a push bike or find a different sport. Rant over.
  13. I couldn't of said it better.
  14. Or you could just do this and save your money. http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/972/bleed01.jpg
  15. Ask your LBS to order you one from Coolheat. It won't be cheap for the kit +-R600. But you can just get this about R100 "Shimano Bleed Kit M575"
  16. Old Stock? Are they the Dogma 65.1 Think 2 version and do they have carbon wheels?
  17. in part yes as the majority of new stock has had a 30-35% increase. The earlier estimate was way off imo.
