  3. I am planning on just yelling at them in German if they give me k@k. Worked a charm in the 40's.
  4. Sleeping like a municipal worker there.
  5. Shem...you no have trails there?
  6. I'll need to borrow someone's bmx. No ways my wagon wheels will make it around that thing.

    But those bunnyhops though...
  8. Totally. Tale her along. Trails are safe and well marked. Nothing terrifying, only terrifyingly good!

Some great second hand Prado's out there. Mine is still going strong with 280k on the clock.
  11. Can't see this on your website.
  12. Thank you very much for all the advice!!! I think we're sorted now!
  13. Shot. I got the impression that the Rhodes Hotel went south with Tiffendel closing for some time. Perhaps the town's made a comeback. Anyone ever dealt with Wild Mountain Adventures in respect of the camping options on the Kraai River in Barkley East? That seems awesome but the website hasn't been updated in ages.
  14. The wife and I are planning a roadtrip in May to Rhodes and/or Barkley East. I'll be taking the trusty steed along to check out some trails. Does anyone have some tips for accomodation, trails, food etc? Greatly appreciated.
  15. I still buy the UK mtb mags (MBR, What Mountain Bike, MBUK). They're expensive, but the content is awesome and I like lying in bed with a real mag.
  16. Jaco at TBS advised me to just keep an eye on it and give it a 1/4 turn once it starts getting a little noisy. The it should be sorted for good.
  17. The Shadow + derailleurs have a little screw that retensions the clutch. You need to do this after a few rides. Mine is due too.
  18. Rode there on Sunday and yes that section is at times intimidating, but also rewarding for the same reason. In any event it has ample warning of the difficulty.
  19. I suggest a reading of the full judgment. I referenced it for the legal principles, which to my mind are apt in this case. Does not make any of these incidents less tragic.
  20. Asperger's is a terrible disease.
  21. Mtb'ing has exploded in popularity. Trails haven't gotten harder or more dangerous. You just have way more people riding them, and of those many are inexperienced. You are bound to have a greater incidence of injury. It's simple probabilities.
