  1. Magura is the worst I have ever owned. Avid Elixir my favourite all round package.
  2. Do you think if you gave Button or Sutil or Hamilton or Rossberg the same car they would not achieve the same results. Minnaars Santa Cruz is not miles better than the other bikes, so that comparison is pointless. Webber has never been a great driver. Lets see what happens this year. My money is on Grosjean and Kimi, Alonso still my favourite.
  3. Let me just get into my flame suit here. The Red Bull is vastly superior to anything on the grid. Also, most people feel Vettel is not as good as Senna or Schumie, and even his fellow drivers rate Alonso as a better driver. He has 4 titles in a car that was always miles better than anything. Lets see him work for a title like the greats did. Then maybe he will earn the respect. Right now he is one of the most unpopular guys on the starting grid, along with Maldonado who should not even be in F1 were it not for the money he brings with him.
  4. That is going to be awsome.
  5. Dislike. If the Red Bull dominates again this year I am afraid the sport will suffer. I hope Daniel Riciardo challenges him more than Webber did.

    Argus MTB

Entered the 55km, looking forward to it.
  7. Cant wait for the Rhebokskloof single track. Looks promising.

    Argus MTB

I really want the special medal you get for completing both the 55km mtb and the Cape Argus road race the following week. But that 55km looks incredibly tough, also dont want to injure myself before the big race.
  9. I went into the bike shop with money in pocket to buy a Spez Epic. I then did a test ride on the Camber and the Epic, the camber instantly felt better than the Epic, more comfortable riding position and just felt right for me. Bought it straight away. Never regretted it since. My next bike will be the s-works camber version. Once I sold my organs on the black market.
  10. I have the 2013 Camber carbon, absolutely love it. I took my girlfriend to the local school rugby fields to practice with her cleats, she keeps falling over. Grass has a soft landing. I rode with her for 5 minutes and got bored, eventually started riding down stairs jumping off walls and just playing around. Hugely capable bike.
  11. The Durbanville trails in general are tough. Too tough for me, Last race I did was 28km with 1500m of climbing. Not what I consider a fun day out. Going to do the road race this year.
  12. Did not want to bring it up, but I bought the Camber. Much more versatile.
  13. Amen brother.
  14. The Hilux manne will eat me alive. Back on Topic, I dont think you can go wrong with any. Both flippen amazing bikes, and good looking machines aswell. Tough choice.
  15. As if any Hilux has performance. Oldschool 2004 technology still sold in 2014. Ranger 3.2 baby. But I get the point you trying to make.
  16. As far as I know the Spez does not come with ztr wheels, comes with Roval wheels. If you comparing new vs new, the Vipa will be better specced and about R10k more than the carbon comp Spez which is the entry level carbon Epic. If it were my money, Epic, with a wheel upgrade and some S- works shoes. Although the Vipa is awsome.
  17. I like them all. Tread is hard to find where I live. Dunno why. Magazines are the best reading material when on the throne. No tablet or smartphone comes close.
  18. +1 for Momsen. Besides good value, they are good looking machines. Clearance on the 2013 models like the other guys mentioned. Cant go wrong.
  19. Entered. Doing the 72km. Still recovering from my lazy holidays with beer for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So the 110km is not gonna happen for me.
  20. Geez I am glad I did not go. Any race with sand is a fail for me.
  21. Toe ek die woorde "sand en stoot" sien het ek eerder besluit om die een uit te sit. My dieet die laaste twee weke bestaan uit bier en pizzas.
  22. Then you have had the wrong supermodels my friend.
  23. I absolutely love the rocky mountain brand. Such sexy machines. But in all honesty, in Cape Town I found them stupidly priced, actually crazy money. Would have been my first choice over my Spez. But because my Spez was specced much better for much much less I went that route. But no doubt, they are Dream machines, and infact I dont know anyone who owns one. So quite special.
  24. Agreed. I think you solved my problem.
